That’s not a parenting tip. That’s Ursula von der Leyen, State of the Union, announcing an EU-wide ban on social media, games and chatbots for children, then tightly controlled “mini accounts” after that.
She already said the minimum-age debate “can no longer be ignored.” Now it’s policy.
This isn’t happening in isolation. The same wave of “safety” rules is rolling out globally, and it keeps starting with kids. Once age verification, parental gatekeeping and platform liability are locked in for children, the adults are next on the agenda.
First the kids. Then everyone else. Always “for their own good.”

It doesn’t matter whether you bought your ticket or not, today, you are strapped in to the roller-coaster. Australia accidentally elected Labor and the Greens into a supermajority, and now we will pay the price.
You can blame Dutton and his bet-each-way approach to the last election, but it doesn’t change the facts.
Australia voted and now we have people in power that are not afraid to use that power to make it impossible to shake them out.
Their immigration program has nothing to do with the economy, and everything to do with them hoping to dupe the new Australians they are minting into voting for them.
They will again lie, hoping to bribe the electorate with false promises of cheap electricity, and a better economy.
They will pretend to pay off student debts, and let the indexation wipe out the savings.
They will spend and spend borrowed money to the point where your money is no good, no matter how much you have.
They will take away your right to complain. And, that is by far the worst part. Because without an ability to speak, we can’t tell the truth. The uncomfortable but real truth that our nation is in rapid and steep decline.
The Labor Party and the Greens will jam in the digital duty of care laws. A gag order on their political opponents. It won’t matter if you are elected, or out here in the real world, we will all be subjected to the most oppressive speech laws in our history.
We will not be able to complain. We will not be able to tell the truth. We will not be able to fix it politically.
Maybe that is what Australia needs to wake up from its long and spoilt slumber.
Too many of us have taken our prosperity for granted. Our happy and free culture taken as an impenetrable right. But it isn’t, and the government is about to prove it.
Good and hard.
They will continue to tell us of their economic and social success, as they call their political opponents extreme whilst more and more of us fall into hardship and misery.
And without a political solution...
They will push us to breaking point, because they are greedy, narcissistic and stupid.
I hope they fail to pass the new speech laws, but I suspect they will just ram them in. Like everything else they have done.
Because they are too afraid of our voices, and their lies will never beat the truth in a fair fight.
It is sad. Fight back. Make your MPs understand how disgusted you are with this total betrayal of Australia and our values.

Anthony Albanese is set to travel all the way to California for a one on one demonstration of an IPhone that has custom blocking programs for the Australian market. Albanese and his censorship would make north Korea blush.

But there’s a video of him at Marrickville Golf Club saying:
“I’ve been coming here for decades and using this club.”
This is not a case of “I’ve changed my position” or “it wasn’t our modelling" or "the dog ate my homework".
It’s an open-and-shut case.
Albanese has lied and misled the Parliament.
The standards of ministerial accountability in a Westminster parliament are clear - Lying to the Parliament regarding personal conduct requires Albanese to resign.

Tough week for Albanese. Spent the week in a 5 star resort. Left the resort, landed in Sydney, spent the night at Kirribilli, woke to breakfast, prepared by the house staff. Later on that day, he asked the Limo driver to drive he and Jodie to the NRL, where he drank and enjoyed the game with his wife then driven home.

I am a huge supporter of the Jewish Community and completely opposed to everything the White Australia Party represents
That said, I don’t believe the government should have the legal right to ban any political party
This week the Australian High Court will decide if Labor prohibiting a political party as a Hate Group, is in breach of the Australian Constitution
If the High Court authorise the government to prohibit a party the argument is it violates Sections 7 and 24 which requires that senators and members of the House be “directly chosen by the people.” From those sections - and related provisions - the High Court has implied a freedom of political communication. The plaintiffs will argue the listing scheme extinguishes their ability to organise and communicate as a political party and therefore fails the Lange test
These laws also appear in breach of Chapter III which is Separation of Powers. The plaintiffs will argue the Executive/Government is exercising judicial power by declaring a group prohibited - and attaching serious criminal consequences - without a court first determining the facts!
This empowers the government to arbitrarily decide a group is a “Hate Group” without any recourse including a trial, due process, or even the involvement of the judicial branch of government whatsoever. Ludicrous
Let’s see what the High Court decides but as of now every single Australian citizen should be loudly opposing the prohibition of Hate Groups on the basis of it being in breach of the Constitution
