As we correctly transition to NACS in America for wide use, it’ll be a bumpy road.
One example: Older Teslas won’t be able to charge on public NACS stations since they’ll use CCS communications
These cars will require the CCS charge port ECU upgrade to “speak ISO15118”
Imagine how confusing that’s going to be for some drivers! The plug will interface properly, but charging won’t be possible.
