This will just accelerate what I predicted, which is the return of the STUDIO SYSTEM and the elimination of agents and managers. Agents and managers will just be studio employees who do contracts, and instead of having glamorous lives themselves.

Friends, a pet is not an adequate substitute for another person—and I say that as a dog lover!
We’re the animal that speaks, and that’s where human contact is made. “Cor ad cor loquitur,” says St. John Henry Newman’s famous motto. “Heart speaks to heart.”
You’re not going to find that with a dog or with your computer screen. You can only find it in conversation with another.

Hotter take: most “film professionals” are just expediters of film business contracts and love every moment of it and think it means they love movies.
The people I know who never leave their house are always showing pictures of France on fire or Europe in a chaotic mess.
The people I know who travel the world and go on vacation are posting pictures from Europe and France and having a great time.

The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices. And the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

People crave authenticity. Netflix programming tends towards unreality. YouTube content may not have the budget, but it has something more important - the passion of the creators.
Netflix is losing the Attention War.
Digital platforms like YouTube are aggressively eroding Netflix's viewing hours.
YouTube captured a staggering 14.2% of total U.S. TV time recently, while Netflix slipped down to 7.8%.
Viewers are also shifting their entertainment budgets toward fast-growing streaming options like Tubi and The Roku Channel.
A weaker slate of hit programming on top of intense competition from free platforms has also caused Netflix immense problems.
And getting outmatched by Paramount for Warner Bros. Discovery left Netflix without a major catalog to drive long-term signups.

Greta Gerwig's Narnia movie looks like it will be objectively awful. Her word salad comments about its being a story of "enlightenment" don't match the source.
Still, Lewis wrote such a theologically grounded story that it can't be discussed without exploring its deeper themes.
