So true about all the wisdom. And I just got @movie_pundit's book in the mail today as well!
So many of @utterlycontent's speakers have a great source of wisdom in their books. Need to revisit my e-collection while my physical books at trapped in the office during lockdown! @mjmetts @Minette_78 @meghscase #utterlycontent2020

Love a visual at least as much as a word. Great to see the content function articulated in context.
I've been trying to articulate the role of content in the design process, I've also realised this makes it much easier to see where our strategy/design/writing hats are needed

💯 Don't provide a reading experience, provide the experience they came for.

Great content is created by uniting the logical structure of a content model and the empathy of user-centred design. I love this balanced approach described by @angusgmelb of @WeAreWeave gathercontent.com/blog/in-go…
I love online meetups. Today I listened to content design stories and sage advice from @scraggot and @kaneperk at the @MelContentStrat session expertly hosted by @lorien_content of @WeAreWeave. Apart from drinking water instead of wine, it's almost as good as being there!

-Let go of what *you* think is important and focus on what the audience thinks is important. -Let go of wanting to say everything, and instead provide just enough, at the right time. -Let go of your idea of 'good writing'; just write to be helpful. I have this tattooed on me!

If your team is inviting your UX writer into the project at the very end, it's a sign that you're undervaluing the work and impact that they can have on the solution. Katie Lower via @awelfle at tonight's UX Content Strategy Meetup #ux #contentstrategy #…lnkd.in/dDrX5jw
To me, the best content gets you where you need to go without making you work too hard or wasting your time. You don't even notice that you're reading. Content like that is created by knowing a lot, and writing only what's needed.
