Just saw something on here that kinda grinded my gears... someone was posing a question about raising children to like books instead of video games... they seemed to heavily imply that all video games were detrimental to people and all books were beneficial... and idk that's just SO WEIRD to me. Like wut!? Why can't they have a healthy appreciation for both? Both can be beneficial, and both can be unhealthy in certain scenarios... They are different art forms and just seperate ways in which we experience a story. Some of the best stories I've ever experienced come from video games... and I absolutely ADORE books and literature. Hell. I'm a WRITER... and just to say or imply a child liking video games is horrible, is horrible in itself LET PEOPLE PLAY. Let people experience. Let people solve puzzles and test their hard-earned reflexes and hang out with friends. Let them embody their favorite characters and choose where their story takes them. It's just another form of storytelling and experience sharing. DAMN.
