Oh this time he’s right. Genius doesn’t even BEGIN to cover what Rocket is. Between bein’ able t’fly spacecrafts, a brilliant inventor, an’ everythin’ else, it’s almost like he was genetically engineered to be the best!
Of course Loki's right. Loki's always right. Well . . . almost always.
. . . You know what? Loki’s right. No sarcasm this time, too.
Well. Rocket's /something/, but he's not so sure 'genius' quite covers it.
Where’s the flaw in his plan? C’mon, it’s okay. He can admit it. Rocket’s a genius.
. . . . . . . sometimes Loki wonders why he even bothers talking to Rocket in the first place, and now would be one of those times. What /even/--
‘Cause if he did, then Rocket could create a gun that could send an electrical blast /right/ into the core, killin’ all the guys they’re after!! It’d really make their job a lot easier.
Again, that's fair. . . . he has never once /needed/ to, so he's never tried. Why would he even /want/ to?
Yeah, but still pretty stressful compared to a normal day. . . . Can he turn the core of a planet into pure metal?
. . . that's fair, he supposes, but still not as stressful as it /could/ be. Then Loki would suggest Rocket think of specific things he wishes to know, because it would be easier for everyone involved that way.
One: Lizogar. Two: Quill an’ Loki nearly dyin’ on every mission. Three: Illianya. Four: Gamora’s mood bein’ randomly worse than before. Well it’s not like they have anythin’ better to do.
Crazy shit like /what/? It’s possible. He can do many, many things that he’s yet to really prove to the Guardians. It would take too long to list them all.
Look, there’s been a lot of crazy shit goin’ on lately. Can he blame him for the added stress?? Is there anythin’ /eLSE/ he can do that Rocket doesn’t know?? The last thing he needs t’do is waste more parts.
Insert overexaggerated eye-roll here. Because it was never relevant, nor has it ever been /needed/?
. . . Oh yeah. Oops. Then wHY didn’t he tELL someone?? That would’a save a lotta parts!
Sarcasm, Rocket. . . . . sort of, yes. It’s complicated.
Them why did he ask him if he wanted one??? . . . Wait he can? Since when?? Is this just some Asgardian thing??
Too bad. They just ran out. Better luck next time. Well . . . for starters, Loki can do that, and he doesn’t need a machine for it.
...Well he wouldn’t be against it. hoW IS THAT STUPID?! IT’S COMPLETELY USEFUL!! NAME ONE OTHER WAY THEY CAN SHOOT ICE AND FREEZE PEOPLE!
Does he want a medal? Is he hard of hearing? Or can he simply not comprehend that Loki said the invention is s t u p i d.
Oh good. Then his point was gotten across. Oh, no no no no no. See, he never /showed/ the thing to—wait what did he just say about his invention??
All of the above, really. Loki will be sure to make it known that he was /forced/ to be shown said invention, then, and that he thought it was /stupid/.
Bother him?! Nah, what ever gave him that idea? The sarcastic tune? The death-glare? The raised voice?? Oh, don’t worry. He’ll make sure to let Quill know that Loki knew about it.
Why? Does it /bother/ him? He’ll have to pass on that, thanks. He’ll just wait so that he can watch how it turns out from a safe distance.
A raccoon’s an animal. Rocket’s just as much a person as Loki is. /Stop/. They can put that theory to the test if he wants. He can go wake up Quill right now an’ ask him.
R a c c o o n. Somehow, Loki very strongly doubts that.
He ain’t no damn raccoon! Stop callin’ him that! See?? It’s useful! There ain’t no way Quill can complain ‘bout /this/ one.
First of all, Peter has nothing to /do/ with this. Second of all, Loki /is/ more interesting. He’s a /god/. What is Rocket? A raccoon. It’s simple logic. That’s . . . one way of doing it, he supposes.
He heard him! Just ‘cause he spends a few extra hours with Quill don’t mean he’s suddenly more interesting. What if they run into a creature made of fire? What’s he expect them to do, roast mushmelons??
. . . /excuse/ him? . . . pardon, but why the everloving /fuck/ would he even consider doing such? What is the /point/?
Ain’t interestin’?? Rocket’s one of a kind, an’ Loki /knows/ it. Just ‘cause he keeps Quill’s bed warm while his kid sleeps in his don’t mean he’s more interesting. Oh. He’s got ‘em. It’s a flame thrower that shoots out cold air ‘stead‘a fire.
Rocket is just jealous because he isn’t nearly as interesting as Loki is, really. There’s no need for name calling in order to try and cover that. . . . . and so what if he is. He won’t get dragged into this /plot/ to get him in trouble.
Y’know? He’s got a point. Things ARE more complex if you’re an overdramatic moron who complicates things on purpose. This next invention? It’s gonna knock Quill off his rocker. Now, he can’t say he ain’t at least a LITTLE curious.
Oh, you poor, primitive, little rodent. Things are never that simple. He’d like to see him try—
What information is there t’know?? Just aim an’ fire. Good enough. Yeah, an’ he’ll claw his arm to Hell if he even tries.
Provide them with the information needed to /actually/ blow up the moon, for starters. He’ll get stabbed. Multiple times.
At least Rocket’s hobbies are actually USEFUL. What good is a book gonna do if they gotta blow up a moon?? He would. And he’s tempted! It’d at least make for some very interesting entertainment.
It’s a hobby for those with more brain function than Rocket currently possesses. That’s okay. . . . . he wouldn’t.
