How to say no to collaborations, (reminder that "No" is a complete sentence, however a lot of you still want to give more.) 🤠The No, but later: "This sounds fun, but im busy at that time. I would love to be included in future plans though" 🤠The No, not this, but that: "This sounds like you'll have a lot of fun, but I dont think I would want to stream/do this personally. If you ever want to do something like X, Y, Z, though, I would be down!" 🤠The No (because of the activity): "I appreciate you asking me and thinking of me for something like this. I dont think it fits with what I've got going on though. But im excited to see how it turns out on socials! Good luck putting it together." 🤠The No (because its you): "I appreciate you asking me and thinking of me for this. I do, however, think its best that I pass. I dont think our styles are similar enough for a collab, but I wish you the best with your event!" The last one is the most important, because you do not have to say "maybe next time" to someone you dont want a next time with! And please dont say yes, then kill off your 5th grandma to cancel on the event. Its better to set the boundary and communicate effectively 👏🏻 SAYING NO TO A COLLAB DOES NOT MAKE YOU MEAN. Anyway, thank you for coming to my TED talk. (Full disclosure i have said every single one of these sentences myself and still vibe with every one of em!)
