Epcot Food & Wine. Friday, 9/11. Not enough toll booths open and parking lot was a mess. Food lines excruciatingly slow. Couch, never heard of them, but solid performance. Too many locations ran out of food. No turkey legs in USA. No steak at Flavors of Fire.

Drinking around the world is possible at Disney Springs. Bonus, they are open later than Epcot.

With Iger’s Lakers news and Chapek’s book announcement both landing days before D23, I wonder if Josh D’Amaro and his team are scrambling behind the scenes to make a bigger splash, separate his era from the two Bobs, and make D23 unmistakably his?

I went to the Magic Kingdom yesterday afternoon. Crowds not bad for a Sunday. Got into Beak and Barrel. 25m wait for Haunted Mansion. Walked on Pirates and Mermaid. Tron and Dwarfs had hour+ lines most of the day. 35m for BTM. Forecast called for rain. It never rained.

Ignore the haters, Spider-Man was awesome. Good family friendly Marvel movie.

Leaving Epcot at 9:30 and walking back to Swan Reserve. Not a lot of food options. Could use a few more.

Luminous takes a lot of strays. No, it’s not as good as Illuminations. It is still a dang good show.

Why I like coming to Disney. Small surprises with every visit. Tonight at a gift shop the CM saw us wearing anniversary buttons. So she called Mickey and put us on the phone with him to wish us a happy anniversary. Never had that happen. It was cool.

Small gripe. It’s 97 in the shade. Sunshine Bar has one window open. Do better Hollywood Studios.

World Cup tip for Disney fans. When your team is not playing and you are trying to pick a team to cheer on, go with the Epcot country. 9 of the 11 made the tournament.

Why does Walt Disney World not have a brewery anywhere on property? Disney Springs seems like the perfect location. Boardwalk used to have one, small, but still.
