Hello!
My name is Agnis and I am a Designer, Maker and Educator, specialising in weaving and spinning.
My practice involves delivering a range of different weaving workshops which I love as well as designing and weaving my own work.

My next workshop using my table looms will be @Stitch_Up on Sat 15th June. We will be exploring different weaving techniques. Using a whole host of different materials whilst also enjoying using 8 shaft table looms. We will be creating a woven wall hanging as we make.

Really enjoyed a sunny weekend teaching over at @theropewalk
It was wonderful to work with such a lovely enthusiastic group. We learnt to use drop spindles on the Saturday before incorporating our hand spun yarn into woven outcomes on the Sunday.
Really looking forward to Threads Textile Festival next month!

Took the opportunity to get my wheel outside and absord some warmth whilst I plyed this gorgeous yarn.

Preperations for Threads Textile Festival @sunnybankmills in June are well underway at Smallwood HQ.
I will be bringing along lots of exciting things with me including some handspun yarn this year.
Threads Textile Festival is 7th, 8th, 9th June.

Weekend Workshop @Ropewalkbarton
I am really looking forward to being back at The Ropewalk for a whole weekend of fun on 11th & 12th May. We will be spinning and creating our own yarns on the Sat and then weaving them into a final piece on the Sunday.

For someone who loves colour, my new looms really allow for a colourful riot of colour to be enjoyed whilst weaving.
My big order of loops have arrived and I am now in my element experimenting and seeing what is possible with these looms.

I am super excited to share with you my new looms. I have a whole set of green square metal looms which allow for wonderful colourful cotton loops to be interwoven. They are perfect for quick and fun workshops and can be accessed at a range of different levels.
Chirpy, @chirpystore in Chapel Allerton will be the first place you can try this new workshop and then I will be travelling across Yorkshire to bring the workshop to hopefully a venue near you. Where would you like to see me visit?
