Everything here is accurate, except "had no control as to distribution" is backwards, and the real version is worse, not better. Israel didn't lose control of pagers they sold, they built the entire supply chain themselves. Years in advance, Israel set up a shell company that manufactured the pagers specifically to sell to Hezbollah, rigged with explosives from the start.
