When Jeff Bezos got divorced, his fortune fell from $159 billion to $121 billion. Two years later, he's now worth $202B. If Bill Gates loses the same %, his fortune would fall to $98B. When the pandemic began, he had $98B. To give you a sense of how fast rich people make money.

Yes! A sustainable revenue model is key. Philanthropy and billionaires are not long-term answers.
Great to see interest and new funding come to local news sources like @baltimoresun, they see the opportunities. But billionaires, hedge funds, and grants only buy time. The bedrock need is for biz models where reader revenue keeps the independent local news going.

Agree! They'll never agree to a relegation format, even though it could be great.
The salary cap in American sports has really evened things up between big and small market teams. So, in theory, any team can win a championship. That being said, there is no reward for more modest goals (avoiding relegation, Europa League, etc)
If I get one more “tip” or “trick” designed to help women “live their best lives” I’m going to seriously lose it. It’s not women who need to change or just breathe deeply at stoplights. It’s the SYSTEMS THAT NEED TO CHANGE
