Once you understand that the world is full of highly neurotic people who need a doom's day scenario to validate their emotions, it all makes much more sense: Malthusian starvation, pandemic, climate, and now AI. I wish we still had "the devil" to play this part.

🚨 Des gitans squattent actuellement l'École Polytechnique
Des gens du voyage se sont installés aux pieds des logements étudiants de l’X. Ils se sont également raccordés à l’eau et à l’électricité du campus.
Depuis, des vols ont déjà eu lieu sur le campus, notamment les tireuses du BôBar.
Réaction de l'administration? On ne va rien faire, par contre vous les élèves vous allez devoir vous adapter (screenshot du mail en commentaire).
Fermez tout. Cachez vos objets de valeur. Signalez les intrusions. N’intervenez surtout pas. Et habituez-vous : “cette situation est appelée à se prolonger”.
C’est littéralement le message envoyé par le commandement de promotion.
Et maintenant, conséquence très concrète : la soirée étudiante prévue jeudi prochain a déjà été annulée. Les élèves ne se sentent pas en sécurité et doivent rester barricadés chez eux.
Donc à Polytechnique, ce ne sont pas les squatteurs qui doivent s’adapter au campus : ce sont les élèves qui doivent s’adapter à l’occupation.
À quel moment est-ce devenu une situation acceptable?
The administration of @Polytechnique deliberately ignoring obvious on campus criminal activity - while putting students very much at risk and in harms way - is appalling and shows a clear inability to lead. Those in charge should resign.
