I let the river guide my flow,
as it winds and bends,
never still and slow.
where life will turn,
I'll never know,
but I'll let the river,
lead me so.
There is a way of living
where action grows out of listening
Where the next step appears naturally
when the noise quiets.
Where motion is not an escape from stillness
but an expression of it.
It’s funny, whenever we find peace after living in perturbation and internalizing it, we often want to run. Because it doesn’t feel natural to us at first. We fear we will lose something, and that is true, but what we are losing is what was never truly ours to begin with.
Wonder cannot increase
until you allow yourself to lose shape.
To be undone
not by what is new,
but by what has always been here—
waiting for you
to drop the veil
of knowing.

I’m shocked that more people aren’t pointing out that SBF’s “indifference to his own happiness” and “emotional detachment” are *exactly* the side effect you’d anticipate from taking near the maximum allowable dosage of Adderall every day, which he does
upon a wild wind,
ever-changing, never steady
like clouds that wander
and find no home
so does my heart roam
Walk gently in your indecision,
the leaves don't know their destination before they fall
And yet they kiss the earth with the same tenderness
as the wind that carried them.
in the fading twilight,
the fox and the rabbit pause
at the edge of the clearing,
each a mirror for the other's
existence.
I recently got a new paint that is supposed to be the blackest black and absorb 99% of light. So to test it out, I just started making random strokes and… I think I kinda like what I made by random chance 😅 but then I proceeded to accidentally get coffee on it lol
we dance
around this truth,
this unspeakable thing,
as if by not naming -
it will not consume us
r e m e m b e r.
to breathe in the
brokenness
& exhale
into the
possibility
of drifting
like leaves
across the

of the
world

find solace in the

space
of
what we once
were, and what
we may
yet become
in the
whisper of a
moment, let the
jagged edges

each of us a pebble,
tossed into the ocean of existence,
creating ripples that touch every shore,
and when the pebble is gone,
the ripples remain.
I still write poetry, but for whatever reason - I’ve just had writers block. I have 95% of a bunch of poems done, but can’t find that missing piece. Not sure if it is perfectionism.
I don’t think AI it will kill art or poetry - though I can see how it can disrupt job markets (Which is concerning). Even if AI can make amazing poetry or art, there is still inherent value in self-expression. Even if only for yourself.
Just recently discovered Rumi, such a great collection of poetry. Can’t believe I’ve missed this up until now.
