Every once in a while, there's this bittersweet moment in Web3 where:
1. Big companies are hiring, but no one seems to be getting hired
2. Names that were worth billions just a few years before suddenly cease to exist
3. Layoffs start becoming an everyday thing
4. Prices move wildly on bad news, but normalize just as quickly
5. No one seems to know exactly what to build
As someone who's been in the industry for as long as it's been one (ICO era alumni, IYKYK!), this is typically where things start to get better.
Shoutout to everyone who made it through yet another cycle!
Last Token 2049, at the famous Raffles Hotel in Singapore, I joined a panel to discuss how to adapt in a world of 1000 blockchains.
There was an audible gasp and an uncomfortable, generalized chuckle when I said what everyone was thinking out loud.
"Next year, a lot of you will probably not be here, and that's ok."
This week, we started to see the blockchains (plural!) bubble burst.
It's a painful but necessary reminder that the world doesn't care how cool or well-designed your idea is, only whether it solves a problem. Don't grave dance, but recognize that we as an industry need to focus on utility first.
Infrastructure. From the Latin Infra- (Prefix): underneath, and Structura (building, adjustment) and struere (to build).
guy whose company depends on the price of $ETH says price of ETH will skyrocket
(still bullish on ETH btw)
For the last two months I've been obsessively looking into new innovations in crypto.
Nothing seemed too interesting until I ran into @pantheonvaults.
Took a bit to get it. But, as soon as I did, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.
There's immense potential in SocialFi, and it has so far been mostly untapped. Pantheon is the first original approach to tackling the problem of how to turn crypto's unlimited potential into something that empowers creators.
I'll be writing more about the project. I'll also be helping them in every way I can.
Meanwhile, you can get a massive edge by joining the Vault early on.
The ticker is $WORD.

There's a new way of doing SocialFi in town. HMU if you want to be a part of it.
$NICK APR is currently 17000%. 😳🏛️
The @Nick_Researcher vault was seeded with 285M tokens.
Only 3 vault stakers so far, which creates one of our favourite dynamics in Pantheon:
Early conviction gets paid.
Fewer stakers sharing the initial reward pool = outsized early yield. As the network grows, the economics shift.

ngl, seeing “Nick Researcher” on that list feels pretty surreal
i didn't expect to be packed as a product onchain ngl
you can now buy and stake Creator Index on Robinhood
appreciate everyone who’s been reading my research and supporting me along the way 🤝
SocialFi already exists outside of Web3; it's that blue platform. Or Patreon, if you want to pretend not to know what I'm talking about.
The setup is: one massive intermediary.
Millions of creators.
If Web3 can do one thing better, it's this.
Before dunking on Pacman and Blast, remember that you also were inspired by their success, and tried to emulate it.
Can Perps come back as a leading crypto narrative?
No doubt they're still a strong, profitable product. But for a true narrative that lifts all boats, that's never enough. Yesterday, I posted an article detailing the many aspects that need to come into play.
In conclusion:
* Even in a bull market, there’s near-zero chance of a growing perps narrative as a whole without positive regulation changes.
* Almost by design, a new perps narrative will be propelled mostly by new names.
* RWAs are the critical fuel. That’s not an original or new take, but I think crypto underestimates how much this can be a greed catalyst that sends the sector into a full craze. ESPECIALLY when it comes to the current middle class.
If the pie suddenly becomes even bigger, it becomes a custodial vs. non-custodial game. Audiences here might not necessarily overlap. But if they do, Web3-native might suffer.
* Fundamentally new products (that execute, speak about, and treat perps differently) are better positioned than existing, second-tier names.
Full reasoning in the article below. Would also love your support so I can continue pushing these:
I personally crafted one of the most successful Web3 narratives for 2024-2025.
Over the next weeks, I’ll be covering the ones I believe are most likely to explode this cycle.
Their setups, challenges, and what I’m betting on.

In 2025, our team established a narrative that dominated Web3 infrastructure conversations.
During that period, 72 projects raised a combined $2.3B for interoperability and chain abstraction.
Did we reinvent the wheel?
Were we the biggest winners in the category?
Are we responsible for everyone's success?
Answer to all is obviously no. Someone else always has a bigger name, a more experienced team, their own PMF.
But what we did well was understanding the panorama, finding common ground, and getting everyone to rally behind something bigger than themselves.
This, in turn, resulted in a tide that lifted all boats.
These days, chain abstraction matters more than ever and is present in every successful project.
Sometimes, the most important thing you can do is create a common language.
Yesterday, I was having a chat with a former executive at a massive global bank.
It went sort of like this:
— And how did your interview go, by the way?
— Oh, it lasted like 3 minutes; it was a classic scam attempt
— "Classic"? As in what?
— Yeah, that whole thing where they're pretending to be a real guy from a real company, but then after three questions and hearing them speak you can totally tell they're a North Korean hacker
— ...
— 😊
— You know, that sounds dangerous. You should post about it on LinkedIn
— Oh, everyone knows. I read three posts like that this very morning.
— ...
— 😊
— Is this normal in crypto?
So, yes, everyone. This is your daily reminder that there IS such a thing as being in Web3 for too long.
Over the last 3 days, I had five friends reach out to me to check out their vibecoded products, portfolios, ideas.
I also currently have two hyper-personalized tools I vibecoded for myself that I use every day, plus an agent that automates 3 hours of research every morning.
We're living in a timeline where creative people don't have a ceiling anymore.
Gotta love it!
The best multi-chain terminal ever created is live.
People love to talk about $ETH not being deflationary anymore, but they always leave out the most important comparison out of the chart.
With fees going lower, we're not burning enough ETH to be deflationary, but since the merge, $BTC has had way bigger emissions. And keep in mind that fees going lower is also a reason why usage is going parabolic.
There's only two decentralized chains. Only one has evolving tokenomics. Can't make me bearish on ETH.
Yesterday our house wizard @whitemilk3535 reminded me that ETH is an inflationary asset.
I was in disbelief as I had the impression that after EIP-1559 we just go up only while burning base fees, til I checked the charts -
Turns out ETH stopped being deflationary a long time ago since April 2024. We're simply not burning enough.

shorting $ADA with 10x leverage is a generational opportunity anon
$ADA at #14 in the marketcap table will be forever studied as a generational short opportunity.
Ironically, right now, the only thing helping the token is that the denominator price is so low.
