ALT The City of Worcester Division of Public Health (WDPH) has relaunched its Academic Health Collaborative, offering flexible, hands-on internships to undergraduate and graduate students and recent graduates. The program runs in spring, summer, and fall, preparing future public health leaders for local workforce needs. Interns gain practical experience by contributing to project areas such as, but not limited to: Community health assessments Health campaigns Policy research Data analysis Program planning and evaluation Environmental health initiatives Emergency preparedness initiatives

ALT Partnering with an academic institution, the Department of Health & Human Services and WDPH provide an ideal practicum setting for students to benefit from teaching, research, and service. Participants work closely with WDPH staff and partners, and receive mentorship tailored to their interests. Interns will benefit from learning new data analysis platforms, project presentations, hearing from guest speakers, and making professional connections. Applicants can find detailed information and apply online via the Academic Health Collaborative website at: worcesterma.gov/public-health/internship-opportunities or by contacting Engle Torres at [email protected].
