the amount of lying that israel’s leaders have done about this to the israeli public and jewish world, and even to many of the jews at the time of the war is incredible, and we live the consequences of it today.
🚨This short film exposes the true story of Israel's creation, entirely through the words of its own founders
For decades, Israel’s lies have been carefully designed to demonize its victims. To ensure that no matter the crimes it commits, the children it slaughters, the world remains incapable of empathy for Palestinians, or at best, treats it with the same apathy that has allowed this to go on for as long as it has
On the 78th anniversary of its creation, it's time the world knew that Israel's past is not different from the brutal present the world is finally seeing
Smug fatalism is the one position I can’t stand. When I was a kid, Spain, Portugal, and Greece were ruled by military dictators. Walls with barbed wire cut Berlin and Jerusalem in half. Being gay was illegal in Spain, and interracial marriage was forbidden in Virginia. You can make your own list of the changes you've seen, but the point is that humans have agency, nothing is static, and hope never dies. Onward!

More than 100 elected officials have joined me in calling on parking lot and garage owners across New York City: Don’t give ICE a place to operate. Don’t rent to them. Tell them they’re not welcome.
Last week, ICE agents shot Oscar Belgal in the neck in Marble Hill while his 5-year-old son sat in the car. They had been staging nearby in a private parking lot.
Our city laws keep ICE off public property. Now, we’re calling on private property owners to do the same. One garage on Morton Street already removed ICE vehicles after neighbors spoke out. Every owner has that power.

It’s perfectly plausible to say it’s both. They jumped out of a burning building, and landed on someone, as Isaac Deutscher (Jewish btw) put it very well.
There was still someone they landed on.
Replying to @AaronBastani
It’s built on an escape from ethic cleansing and a desire for sanctuary against a world that for centuries wanted the Jews eradicated. But OK.

This video captures settlers beating Heidi. They clubbed her, kicked her. Pulled her up off the ground to beat her more. Robbed her of all her equipment. If she didn’t have a helmet—and if she was Palestinian—she could be dead.

And no media is covering this! Ordinary Gazans suffer from the Israeli occupation and Hamas occupation at the same time!
Today, Hamas imposed a new tax of around $3,500 per truck entering Gaza, calling it a “community contribution.”
Merchants will pass that cost on to consumers, forcing people in Gaza to pay even higher prices.

I'm Palestinian and I support peace and I have Israeli friends now I'm far right Zionist
she doesn’t even go half as hard as the maoist cult goobers go against mamdani!
Maayan Sherman calls Netanyahu "a son of a whore" and accuses him of murdering her child. Her son, Ron Sherman, was taken hostage and killed in an IDF bombing. She knows perfectly well who killed her son, and it was not Hamas. This comes after a CNN investigation found that most hostages who did not come home alive were killed by Israel.

Yesterday, I watched Naza.
I did not go to learn what had happened in Gaza. I am from there. I am one of the victims of this war, one of its witnesses, and one of those who have paid a price that will not end when the war does.
I did not need a film to tell me how entire neighborhoods were wiped away, how residential buildings were bombed with the people still inside them, or how families were forced to leave their homes without knowing where they were supposed to go.
Nor did I need anyone to tell me about the famine. I lived through it twice, with all its humiliations, down to the smallest detail. Or about the starving people who were killed while trying to reach what were so absurdly called “food distribution centers.”
I know all of this.
I was there.

this is clearly a (rather funny) hack. anyone can google that this meeting (which neither of these two would ever agree to) never happened.

Just met with Prime Minister @netanyahu where we discussed the fight against antisemitism and the unbreakable bond between New York City and Israel. We stand strong, proud, and united against antisemitism and all other forms of hate.

As a Palestinian family tries to reach their home in the West Bank, young Israeli settlers known as Hilltop Youth confront them. One settler headbutts Palestinian local Hassan Faraj in the face. Another blow fractures his nose.

A Palestinian family that has held the deed to this West Bank land for generations says a group of about 20 Israeli settlers moved onto the property and set up a tent in March.
“They started to behave that they are the owners of everything,” Hassan Faraj tells 60 Minutes.

Mahmoud Khalil urged pro-Palestinian protesters in New York to keep holding Mayor Zohran Mamdani accountable, but criticized those calling him a “genocide enabler,” warning that such accusations diminish the meaning of genocide.
“That takes away so much from the word genocide,” Khalil said, comparing the accusation directed at the New York mayor to the way Israel’s supporters indiscriminately invoke antisemitism.
Khalil acknowledged protesters’ frustrations, but urged activists to move away from “purity politics” and internal infighting, and instead focus on grassroots organizing, political education, and extending one another “some grace.”
Palestinians being killed cannot wait for endless theorizing about liberation and revolution, he argued. The priority must be stopping U.S. weapons shipments to Israel.

At an event in DC, Mahmoud Khalil hits out at "purity politics." He says protesters should hold politicians accountable but calling Zohran Mamdani a "genocide enabler" takes away from the meaning of genocide in the same way that Zionists call any criticism of Israel antisemitic.
"You don't have to agree with someone 100 percent - 85 percent is good... as long as the end goal is liberating Palestine and ending the unconditional support of the United States," he said.
