Per Iowa: Season tickets for the 2023-24 University of Iowa women’s basketball team are sold out, the announcement was made Monday by the UI Athletics Department.  It is the first time in school history the program has sold out Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

It's great that Messi is here but it seems obvious to me that the US should have one of the best football leagues in the world, just seems like a weird market inefficiency that we don't.

** The "Steve Kerr" Effect ** Larry Birds/Michael Jordans rarely make good coaches. It's always just too easy for them. But the guys who were good enough to live it but had to use their brains 24/7 to be there end up as killer coaches. Phil Jackson is another example.
