As we await the announcement this morning of who the new Archbishop of Canterbury will be (10am UK time), I'm profoundly aware of the contrasting theologies held within the Anglican communion on different issues, and therefore the need for #prayer as this news is unveiled. 🙏

I took this photo in 2013. The balcony prepared for a new Pope. Today the #conclave has begun. The 1st smoke due shortly. There are Pope outfits ready in different sizes for whoever gets elected! But rather than speculate over who it will be, I choose to pray: Come, Holy Spirit!

Things don't have to be perfect this #Christmas, joy can be found in the humility of a manger.

Being kinder to yourself doesn't mean letting yourself give up on your dreams and vision, it means cheering yourself on to get back up after set-backs or disappointment.

"If all flowers wanted to be roses, nature would lose her springtime beauty and the fields would no longer be decked out with little wildflowers." - St Therese of Lisieux reminding us that if we all try to be the same, the world would be a less beautiful place.

The question to ask is not WHETHER we will fail in life, but HOW we will deal with failure. Don't let one disappointment or negative word stop you from pursuing your dreams.

We all need people in our lives who will encourage us to step out of our comfort zones. Sometimes others can see potential in us that we cannot see in ourselves. I'm truly grateful for all the times I've grown because others gave me a loving push. Encourage someone today!

Prayer is about presence, relationship, longing and heart connection. It's about gazing and adoring, not just asking for things. #Intercession is important, powerful and necessary, but if that is our only form of #prayer then we are not experiencing the fullness of God's design.

What we fill our ears, eyes, hearts and minds with affects the output in our lives. Give us wisdom, Lord, and a hunger to be the purest channels possible of your love and power to a hurting world. #prayer
