Gary Stevenson asks why millionaires and billionaires are not being taxed more #BBCQT When Fiona Bruce asks why he thinks a wealth tax will work when other countries have abandoned it Gary Stevenson points out we did it before in the 50s, 60s and 70s, and it worked then, so it can work now 👏

Playing Horizon Forbidden West. One of my favourite things is stealth. Taking out a whole rebel camp like Agent 47 never gets old.

Blimey. Apple Cider Vinegar on Netflix is really something. Based on the pretty horrifying story of shameless influencer and scammer Belle Gibson.

Rather excellent explainer here for anyone struggling to process things.

Manufactura just dropped this. In The Company of Wolves: Rendezvous. A sprawling collection of previously unreleased tracks, remixes and collaborations. Highly recommended if dark electronica/industrial music is your thing. crunchpod.bandcamp.com/album…

Just seen Companion. I am fully on board for the Sophie Thatcher ascendancy. A sublime mix of black comedy, dark sci-fi and social commentary. I do think the marketing undermines the film's impact though.

There's community board game groups on websites like Meetup, etc, but my experience was they were never about making friends, they seemed to me to be geared towards people who already had friends to bring along and play with.

Half of the people in my group are in relationships with partners that sometimes come along. We do Secret Santa at Christmas. When I think about the amount of time it required to actually build those friendships though, well, it's a bit mindboggling really.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a good game that is just broken in places. The Moonrise Tower fight is ridiculous.

This is brilliantly done. Who would have thought that Sesame Street and Twin Peaks could go together so well.
Parodies of pop culture hits like David Lynch’s Twin Peaks are key to Sesame Street’s co-viewing model, giving adults and children a chance to enjoy the show together. #RIPDavidLynch

Have they tried printing out their CVs and taking them round the shops in town? Bit of elbow grease and entrepreneurial spirit
this story cheered me up no end 🥰

There are multiple reasons this is a bad idea I'll go through each one by one for anyone who can be arsed to find out The only people who won't be arsed are people who think this only for ideological, NOT rational reasons 1/🧵
Privatise the BBC. If I want to watch it I’ll subscribe, as I do to channels that make programmes that I want to watch/ listen to. No one should be forced to pay £169.50 for a service they may never use, merely because they watch other things on a television.

There's a new Netflix documentary on The Jerry Springer Show. Quite something to see producers for the show openly stating their job was to psychologically manipulate guests to ensure conflict because that's what drove ratings.
