TPLF's hands still stink of ๐ช๐นns blood. The young are now fleeing Tigray by every road that still opens. Mothers are still burying sons. The men who once fought for those oligarchs have defected - and they are coming back to end the crying
TPLF criminal oligarchs have no option left except serving Isaias and Cairo against their own people. Same 50 year playbook: start the war, hide ammunition in schools and churches, then cry "civilian massacre" when the army hits back. They didn't defeat the ๐ช๐นn army. They shoved aside federal police at 3 airports in their region and waited for paid and Egypt media to write the fairy tale. Military officials including generals already defected. This is not a revolution. It is the last gasp of a criminal oligarchy.
They attacked ๐ช๐นn defence forces stationed in Tigray - then ran to the world claiming they were "defending" themselves. They did it in 2020. They are doing it again. Not b/s they can win. Because they need international headlines and another round of "humanitarian" cash.
Media everywhere banged the drums: "TPLF will overthrow Abiy." Reality: they opened three fronts, got hit hard, suffered heavy casualties. The airports in the region were never under the army. They were under federal police. Next they will loot the banks and invent new atrocity stories.
They store ammunition in public gatherings, then scream when those hiding places are struck. Last two days they told the world the ๐ช๐นn Air Force hit Catholic charity vehicles. The truth is ammunition being moved from Eritrea. These people built power through deception, theft, corruption and killing. Now they extract gold illegally and smuggle it through ๐ช๐ท.
They were given every chance. Former President Olusegun Obassanjo, the AU's own mediator, went to Mekele more than once to pull them back from the cliff. TPLF smeared and mocked him, then publicly rejected him as "not impartial." U.S. Ambassador Ervin Massinga flew to Mekele to give talks a second chance. Debretsion would not even sit with him. That is not party seeking peace. That is only an oligarchy already chose war and only needed a camera.
Cairo does not need to put soldiers in Tigray. It only needs a weak ๐ช๐น. Isaias flies to Cairo, they "deepen strategic partnership," then Asmara feeds the proxy. Material, tactical, political - same triangle. TPLF pulls the trigger. Egypt collects the prize: keep the upstream country bleeding so the Nile can be treated as Cairo's private river. That is the end game. Not Tigrayan freedom. WATER.
And watch the chorus. The same networks that buried TPLF's crimes now beat the drums with moral music: "defensive war," "airports seized," "government falling." They are not reporting a battlefield. They are selling a narrative written in Cairo and rehearsed in Asmara.
Tsimdo is the mask. Marketed as a "people-to-people peace" project across the Tigray-Eritrea-Sudan belt, it is the vehicle Asmara used to stitch old enemies together - TPLF, FANO factions and other groups - under one anti-Addis command. Same mission: open a northern front so ๐ช๐น stays too busy to hold the Nile or reach the Sea. Tsimdo is the workshop where the proxy was assembled.
They also exported the war into Sudan. Tigrayan youth were trafficked, sold and shipped through ๐ช๐ท as mercenaries for al-Burhan's army. The opposite side later captured and surrendered many of them. This is 21st century slave trading: empty the villages, pocket the cash, and burn someone else's son in someone else's war. Asmara and Cairo profit. Tigray bleeds.
Despite Obassanjo, Massinga and diplomats in Addis warnings, they lit the match. Their end is not a government. It is another Al-Shabaab franchise - anti-social, terrorist, and finished. ๐ช๐น will not be their hostage, and the Nile will not be stolen by proxy. ๐ช๐น will open the door to the Sea by negotiation or otherwise. It will not stay locked. It is ๐ช๐น's unfinished business - settled by table if they sit, or settled anyway.
