Tomasz Grodzki @profGrodzki wraz z delegacją odwiedził Politechnikę Federalną w Zurychu @ETH @ETH_en, gdzie spotkał się z polskimi naukowcami i prorektorem ds. nauki prof. Christianem Wolfrumem @WolfrumLab. Marszałkowi towarzyszyli senatorowie: Barbara Zdrojewska @BZdrojewska, Stanisław Lamczyk @S_Lamczyk, Józef Zając oraz Szef Kancelarii Senatu Adam Niemczewski. Naukowcy z Instytutu Biologii Molekularnej i Biofizyki oprowadzili delegację po laboratoriach, a w Centrum Wdrożeń Badań Naukowych @WyssZurich (Wyss Zurich Translational Center) Politechniki Federalnej i Uniwersytetu Zuryskiego @UZH_ch @UZH_en zaprezentowali projekt „Liver4Life” pozwalający na wyleczenie chorej wątroby poza ciałem pacjenta, a później wszczepienie jej oraz program „Recolony” @RecolonyAG, w czasie którego badacze opracowują leki przeciwnowotworowe na bazie bakterii mikroflory jelitowej.

I disagree with this suggestion. Research is based on failure. Those who finance research have to take this risk without the prospect of a direct return on investment. Such approaches endanger basic research not just at @ETH but worldwide. nature.com/articles/d41586-0…
