Happy birthday to the man, the myth, the legend.
Teddy Roosevelt established 5 national parks, 18 national monuments, 150 national forests and countless other public lands.
Americans are still enjoying the places he helped conserve.

KSP Trooper Hayden Phillips was murdered on I-65 today, doing his job.
He was a husband and a dad to three.
He's the first Kentucky trooper killed in the line of duty since 2015.
Thank you, LMPD, for catching the suspect fast. Now we need every charge and no shortcuts.
Pray for his family. Rest easy, Trooper.

"They killed my good dog
They killed my boy
My only son
My pride and joy
They shot my wife
Dead on the floor
Holding our baby
In the cabin door,"
Never let the Weaver family's plight at Ruby Ridge be repeated.
Song by Peter Rowan, joined by the All-Star jam lineup of Tim O'Brien, Sam Bush, Darol Anger, Laurie Lewis, David Grier, Mark Schatz, Bill Keith, Mike Munford, John Cowan, Tony Trischka, and more at Winterhawk Bluegrass Festival, 1998
On this day 34 years ago, the Siege at Ruby Ridge began when federal agents scouting the property of Randy Weaver killed Randy’s son and the family dog during the initial confrontation.
NFA enforcement was the "justification" for what happened that August.
And the horrific actions of government agents over the following days, and many other stories, are why cases like the FPC-backed Jensen v. ATF are so important, and why we must get SCOTUS to agree that the NFA is unconstitutional.
The abuses of the NFA must end. The rights and lives of millions depend on it.
