If you fell in sin, it means you didn't want to go into it, right? If you didn't want to go into it, it means you have a new mind that delights in the law/word of God, not the sin. You are aware of the flesh's desires warring against it. You are now even aware you are being tempted before you sin. And then you find yourself wanting to and learning to walk in the Spirit, not the flesh. Then, you may have realised, contrary to much preaching today, that the possibility must be there for victory over sin - to actually, in reality, walk in the Spirit, not the flesh. Victory over sin means not committing the sin you are tempted to at a particular time. Enduring temptation. The sin that wanted to come forth was defeated, in that temptation. Temptation is not sin, it's the time before sin is conceived when we are drawn towards the sin by our own desires. But we have not yet agreed in our mind to sin. Not agreeing and fleeing the thought or deed is victory. And, then you've perhaps done this a bit already, and not sinned when you previously may have. Great! Progress has been made along the narrow way which leads to life! But, then you fell... Ok... hang on... you don't deny that it is sin. You are remorseful. You ask God to be forgiven and cleansed. You get up and walk again. The Accuser will tell you it's impossible and you're a sinner. You're not a sinner. A sinner knows it's sin and chooses to sin, repeatedly - doubting God can help them stop, or not wanting to stop. No, you only fell. You want to stop. You love God, you delight in His word. Your flesh got the better of you this once, even though it has several times... even many times, in fact. You hate the sin according to your new mind and heart, yet your flesh, of course, loves it. But you are not your flesh. You are not condemned for this. You are not trying to hide or excuse the sin. You hate it. And you fell. Your Old Man (Self) died with Christ - by faith you are set free. Now it comes down to the practical extension of that faith to learn to walk in the Spirit and get victory over the sins you were forgiven for... and you'll see new sin you didn't see before as God's light shines brighter into you conscience. And you'll get victory over that too in time. You learn to go to Jesus in prayer and fellowship at the Throne of Grace when you need help. He gives help - by His Spirit, and by His word. You learn to hold on to His word when tempted, it can feel uncomfortable for the flesh as it is not getting what it wants. This is what suffering in the flesh is (1 Peter 4:1) and the result is: ceasing from sin!!! It can take some time, because we need to become more humble... lower to the ground... less likely to fall... more likely to see the steps He has for us. IF when sin, not WHEN, we have an Advocate! But the intention is that sin does not reign over us, but rather we overcome it by God's grace. So... don't be discouraged if you fell, or fell again. Learn to go to Him when tempted, get help, suffer it out and be done with it for all eternity!

What is unrest? Inner turmoil. Discontent, agitation and unhappiness. Having a lack of drive, energy and motivation: having a lack of spirit. The solution is not self-help books. It is not new resolutions. It is NOT counselling, therapy or changing your environment. You need life. Life is the opposite of unrest. It’s living. A spirit, a force that drives us to do things. A force that gives energy and heart. He who has the Son, has life. Jesus is the source of life. In Him we enter into rest. What does it mean to have Jesus? He lives in us. He lives through us. We no longer live. No longer rely on our own reasoning, but just do His will. His Spirit guides us to all truth about ourselves. There we acknowledge the truth, and His spirit sets us free from the sin that plagued us. Sin, the source of unrest. Being set free, we enter His rest. We become like and part of Him. We become alive for and in Him. He is now our life. This happens bit by bit. Gradually. He shows us some, and as we obey and enter, we get to see some more. This is the way. It’s a continuous journey. Coming to Jesus is not a once off event. Welcome to the narrow way, the only way that leads to life!

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.” 1 John 5:3. It is impossible to love God without obeying Him. If we do not obey Him, then all our talk about love is only empty words. Excerpt From The Laws of the Spirit of Life

Self life is a chronic sickness that we all suffer from. Yes also you! All God’s commandments are in this: Love God with all your heart, and your neighbour as yourself. Self life is the reason many are not interested in marriage or having children. Self life is the reason many seek greener pastures in other countries or towns, rejecting the love and care they’ve received through many years growing up, not understanding what it means to give back. Not understanding God placed them there for a reason, not trusting He can make it work there. We think just about ourselves. Have no faith in God. Have no interest in the narrow path He prepared for us. Many probably won’t agree with me - because you need His light to see it. He is very good and gracious, not condemning us, but patiently trying to show us our self life. Can you see it in your life? Think about. Pray about it. And accept His light and fire over your life. We need to seek Him diligently, and when He shows himself, not reject His counsel and chastening.

Thank you for your replies. I fully agree! I'll put it in other words. Jesus said unless we do the will of His Father, we will never enter His kingdom. (Matt.7:21). Then He said we shall love our fellowman, even our enemies! (Matt.5:44). If we do that, then He and the Father makes their home in us! (Joh.14:23). And then we have fellowship with the Father and the Son (I Joh.1:3). That is the kingdom of heaven in us! It does not matter how people treat us - we have to remain in love, then God remains in us and we remain in Him (I Joh.4:16). If we come out of love, we break this relationship and fellowship with God and Jesus - the kingdom of heaven - is no longer in us. Love is not feelings, but practical things: it keeps no record of wrongs, it is not bitter, is not jealous, etc. (I Cor.13). Nobody on earth can rob us of our joy and peace if we remain in love! And if you have fellowship with the Father and His Son, what does it matter if people speak evil of you or drag your name through the mud? As long as God and Jesus thinks well of you! How can one then be deceived? It is only our own fleshly lusts and desires for the honour of man, to be esteemed, to be liked and to have some influence on earth that can deceive us! If we give in to the lust for honour and greatness in the eyes of man, then we are deceived! I can only become unhappy or bitter if I think somebody took the honour that I think I deserve. But if I die to these lusts (crucify them), then I remain in love and cannot be deceived. For "each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed." And then James says: "Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren." Jam.1:14 & 16. No other person can cause me to be bitter, or to be offended, or to be angry or to hate. It is the lusts and desires in my own flesh (nature) that causes that! And what do the false prophets say: You have a reason to be unhappy or bitter or offended, because the others have treated you so unfairly, because they have dragged your name through the mud, or tarnished your reputation, etc. The Gospel Jesus came with is that it is fully possible to love, no matter how unrighteous the others are or how we are treated! Because by His grace we can love as He loved and can lay down our lives as He did! (Joh.15:12,13).

In Matthew 25 Jesus talked about the gospel of the kingdom that will be preached in all the world, and then the end will come. He starts with a warning: "Take heed that no one deceives you." Question: Taking into account what Jesus said further, what is this "Gospel of the kingdom" and how does it help you that you are not deceived? In the rest of the chapter He mentions how you will be hated by all nations for His name’s sake. "And many will be offended, betray one another, and hate one another. And many false prophets will rise up and deceive many."

The kingdom of heaven is in fact a mystery because it is hidden from the senses, from human wisdom. It is revealed only to those who are tired of themselves. They are the only ones ready to answer his call.

If one is gripped of things in this world (I Joh.2:15,16), then the god of this age gets power over you! You become one whose mind is blinded, so you cannot believe, and the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, cannot shine for you! II Cor. 4:4

Humbling ourselves under the mighty hand of God daily will prevent us from being led away by the self-exalting spirit of the antichrist.

We enter into the kingdom of God, by doing his will. It's written in Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Thanks for your insights! We simply have to do the will of God in our daily lives! In Jesus' own words: "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Matthew 7:21.

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Col.3:1-3

The kingdom of God is within me . Luke 17:21. When I allow Jesus in my heart, die to sin and be alive to him then the kingdom comes in me and I have peace and rest. Wherever I’m if I do his will then his kingdom is within me

Rom 14:17 "for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." When Jesus becomes my master and Lord, He dwells in my heart and then I have peace and joy that the world cannot give me. Kingdom of heaven is then within me.

Question 1: Paul write in Gal.2:20: "I am crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me..." That means I no longer do my own will. Thát is crusified, in other words put to death. Instead of my own will, I do the will of Jesus, then He lives in me.
