Three military officials told The New York Times that one reason behind the change was that their deaths occurred after President Trump declared a ceasefire with Iran in April.

1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan was with the 2-55 ADA, 32nd AAMDC, and Pvt. Isabella Gonzales was with the 1-57 ADA, 52nd ADA Brigade.
Feehan’s battalion operates Patriot systems for theater air and missile defense, while Gonzales’ unit employs the Avenger system to protect ground forces from low-altitude threats.
