Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is absolutely peak and might be the biggest double-edged sword Nintendo has dropped in years After 200 hours on Hard/Classic, I can confidently say this is the must-play Switch 2 exclusive. It pulls off things with multi-route storytelling and Sothisverse lore that put Three Houses to shame. The audiovisuals alone are easily a 10/10 On the other hand, the pacing whiplash is real • Key villains and major figures straight up get killed or disappear off-screen with zero fanfare • Insane difficulty cliff in Act 2 that will punish you if you didn't over-recruit early on • 8 Flame Lords, but only 7 exclusive Divine classes (why do Eshmel and Theodora have to share Sentinel?) • Free-time bloat that can turn army optimization into a second job Still, the payoff in the final act ties the lore together in ways longtime fans will lose their minds over.
