I have always believed that meaningful partnerships begin with a willingness to listen, learn and explore what we can achieve together.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from @XHNews Agency to Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (@ubctvuganda ) for a constructive engagement on opportunities for deeper media cooperation. Our discussions explored content sharing, joint productions, AI training and knowledge exchange, with a shared ambition to strengthen the capabilities of our teams and create innovative content that connects our people, promotes mutual understanding and tells the stories of Uganda and China more effectively.
What particularly excites me is the opportunity to learn from each other as the media industry undergoes profound transformation. Artificial Intelligence is reshaping how content is created, distributed and consumed, and building the capacity of our media professionals to responsibly harness these technologies will be critical to the future of broadcasting.
For UBC, this engagement with Xinhua is an opportunity to move beyond traditional media cooperation towards co-creation, innovation and capacity building.
I look forward to seeing these conversations translate into practical programmes that create value for both institutions and strengthen the bridges between our two countries.
Partnership is more than working together. It is learning together, innovating together and growing together.

Iam deeply saddened by the news of the passing of His Majesty King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
My heart goes out to the Queen Mother Best Kemigisa, the Royal Family, and all our brothers and sisters in Tooro. King Oyo was a beacon of hope and modern leadership, and his loss is one we feel profoundly across the entire nation.
I pray that God grants the Royal Family strength and peace during this painful time. May His Majesty rest in eternal peace.

Today, Maama and I were very happy to witness the consecration of our daughter, Patience , as a Bishop of Covenant Nations Churches in Uganda after 20 years of ministry.
I thank God for Maama’s recovery and salute the medical staff, as well as our children, Muhoozi, Natasha, Patience and Diana, who stood with her throughout. I also thank God for making Patience a Bishop. As I said, our family has been here for generations, and although the different religions came to our area many years ago, it was only in 1947 that Mzee Kaguta joined the Church. Today, I have a whole Bishop in the family.
