The flow of policy has been to cap out-of-pocket costs, and that's where Lilly has gone. This doesn't address the list cost that payers pay for the drug, and inevitably that flows into premiums.
Also not clear what this means for the uninsured.

Huge news.
Last year, we capped insulin prices for seniors on Medicare, but there was more work to do.
I called on Congress – and manufacturers – to lower insulin prices for everyone else.
Today, Eli Lilly is heeding my call. Others should follow.
Breaking News: Eli Lilly said it would cut the price of insulin, capping the monthly out-of-pocket cost of the lifesaving drug at $35.

A tornado hit our Fort Worth office and factory last night. Two roofs in the parking lot. It rained 1.5 inches by morning. Lesson: #corsirosenthalbox does not work when wet.

Aaron Swartz would have been 36 today.
Aaron committed suicide after being sentenced to 35 years in prison by US authorities for transferring and sharing scientific articles from JSTOR.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Swartz was never convicted or sentenced to prison. After declining a plea bargain in which he'd serve six months in jail, he committed suicide before trial.

From CNN story: “On Sept 8, the senior director of government sales for SpaceX wrote the Pentagon saying the costs have gotten too high... The official asked the Department of Defense to pick up Ukraine’s new request as well as ongoing service costs, totaling $124 million”

Here’s CNN story from @MarquardtA that broke news yesterday about Sept 8 letter sent to Pentagon asking them to pay for Ukraine’s Starlink service. Starlink outages then occurred in Ukraine on Sept 30. Twitter spat with ambassador didn’t occur until Oct 3 cnn.com/2022/10/13/politics/…

Replying to @KimZetter
Which was also a month after the FCC withdrew a billion dollar contract with Starlink for failure to perform.

This misinfo is taking off on Twitter and I guess there’s no hope of correcting it. But the request to Pentagon didn’t happen “days after” the exchange with the ambassador. The request occurred a month ago. But it only became public news days after the exchange with ambassador.

So Musk is pretending he cut Starlink off from Ukraine because the ambassador hated his fake peace plan, but in reality it comes because he tried to basically blackmail the US government with it a month ago?
