In case you missed it, Constitution Day was earlier this September. Take a few minutes to appreciate the greatest political document created, by watching this wonderful video by Betsy and the U.S. Department of Education! youtube.com/watch?v=VL7mqde-…

Our family has always been dedicated to working in partnership with our neighbors to drive meaningful change as well as always trying to bring new voices to the table. Together, all of us – united – can tackle tough problems and build a better, stronger and more just community.

To those business owners who have suffered as a result of riot activity, we stand with you and encourage your individual comeback stories that we will cheer on loudly.

We also recognize that the violent acts which impacted our local community and many others were not driven by you. Those few who sought to hijack your noble cause should be held to account, while you should be encouraged and supported.

To those who have peacefully protested in recent days, your voice deserves to be heard loudly and clearly by everyone. Your presence is powerful. Thank you for advocating for what is right and marching for what is just. We see you. We hear you. We support you.

We join those across our nation whose hearts ache for the family of George Floyd. Racism and bigotry have no place in our world. We must do and be better, and it will take all of us – together – to enact change.
