VICTORY: We were at the Jersey City Council meeting in strong support of Resolution Res. 26-421 recognizing childcare as an essential need for families and the broader economy!
The state must invest in accessible, affordable childcare for our communities.
We were proud to stand alongside our coalition partners, @NJCitizenAction, @cwa1037, @WindofSpiritNJ, and Councilmembers @JoelBrooks4JC and @jake_ephros in support!
In the U.S. we are celebrating #InternationalDomesticWorkersDay by fighting for full rights and recognition for all domestic workers because we believe when domestic workers thrive, our society thrives.
Happy #InternationalDomesticWorkersDay!
What an incredible honor! 🎉
Our co-founder, Diana Mejia, was recognized with the Evanoff-Shuchter Award.
This award belongs to all of us. It reflects the strength, unity and dedication of our communities!
Thank you all for being part of this journey! ❤️✨

NEWS: We are increasing funding for the Detention Deportation Defense Initiative by $12 million – for a total of $20.2 million.
We are also launching a Rapid Legal Response Initiative to expand statewide legal capacity for emergency immigration defense and support immigrant families across New Jersey.
These actions will help ensure more people in New Jersey's communities receive due process under the law and more New Jersey attorneys are mobilized to stand up for the fundamental human rights of detainees and their families.

Far too many New Jerseyans are unaware that they are likely eligible for paid family leave when they need to take time to care for their health or their loved ones. We believe that service provider organizations in New Jersey should be informed of this benefit so they can share with their clients and the public. To that end, we offer free trainings and presentations for various audiences, in English or Spanish, virtually or in-person. What do advocacy, protests, activism, and strikes have in common?
THEY WORK!
This is a huge milestone for the hunger strikers, and a testament that our Governor hears their demands. Let's keep the momentum up!
