College GameDay last weekend at Iowa was the most-watched episode of the season — and the third most-watched episode ever in the reg. season. The final hour, highlighted by Caitlin Clark joining the set, drew an average of 3.7 million viewers. That's the Caitlin Clark Effect.

So many stadiums have iconic views especially in small towns. Blessed to be covering tonight’s televised game with Anna at Marion Local. This view is one of the great ones.

Just drove through Clinton, Iowa, and stopped at @Culvers. After Lara finished taking my order, she looked at my sweatshirt and said, “I’m old enough to know who Walter Payton was.” I told her, “That’s my dad.” She freaked out! Then 17-year-old Ze lost it, too. He told me WP was his favorite football player. Before our food even came out, I took pictures with everyone. What a special, unexpected moment. Thank you, Lara & the entire team for making my day. 🙏🏽 @WalterPayton, you have no idea the impact you left down here. Your legacy continues to touch people in places you never imagined. 🙏🏽 🐻⬇️ #Bears

Cathy Englebert is “retiring” aka being fired. So the WNBA will have a new commissioner. Hopefully the new commissioner can tell us what a woman is.

9 years ago today, the very first Hawkeye Wave took place at the end of the first quarter against the Josh Allen led Wyoming Cowboys. Iowa went on to win the game 24-3. This was also Brian Ferentz first game as offensive coordinator for the Hawkeyes.

It's been 25 days since WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert was last seen blasting hosel rockets out of a bunker. The search continues though insiders say morale is low and hope is fading.

Free nitrogen??? Soil organic matter can provide up to 20-30# of N per % OM annually under the right conditions. Main driver of "mineralization" is temperature, oxygen and moisture. When you have all three a 4% OM soil could provide 80-120# of nitrogen for your crop. In NE IA we have been blessed with season long ample moisture, which you can see from the charts is giving us very high mineralization rates vs historic averages. Compare that to NW IA where it is very dry and their rates in some locations are near historic lows. I feel this is the main driver in why more fields in NE IA are not severely N deficient from all the N loss from June rains. Nutrient availability from this springs cover crops are impacted the same way.... and there should be large amounts of those nutrients becoming available right now.

78 degrees??? Welcome to communism people! Hope you enjoy!
New York: it's hot out there, and the power grid is working overtime to keep us cool. Set your AC to 78 degrees, turn off lights/electronics you're not using, and unplug what you can. Our City is doing its part too: maintaining the 78 degrees rule in our buildings, dimming/turning off our lights during peak electricity demand, asking private partners to do the same, and powering down non-essential equipment. A stable grid means the AC stays on, and lives are saved. Let's ease demand — and get through the heat — together.
