TODAY is Election Day, Kentucky’s 1st.
For months, I’ve traveled every corner of this district. I’ve sat at your kitchen tables, stood on your farms, and listened at town halls. You told me what you need: lower grocery bills and prescription costs, protection for the Medicare and Social Security you paid into, and a congressman who shows up and listens. Today, we get to make that happen.
Polls are open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time. Bring your photo ID. If you’re in line by 6 p.m., stay in line, because you have the right to vote. Find your polling place at GoVoteKY.com.
Call your mom. Text your friends. Offer your neighbor a ride. Every single vote counts in this race, and every person you bring with you counts too.
It’s in your hands now. I’m here for you, and today I’m asking for your vote.

A proposed Meta data center in northeastern Kentucky could skip about $50 million a year in local taxes, according to the Kentucky Center for Economic Policy.
Local communities would normally collect about $59 million a year in property taxes from a project like this. Under the tentative deal, Meta would pay only about $7 million. That’s roughly $50 million a year that could be going to schools, roads, and first responders.
Instead, Meta keeps it, and the people who live there are left with the strain on their water, their power grid, and their land. The deal could last up to 40 years.
This project is outside our district, but it’s the same playbook these companies are bringing all across Kentucky. Rural counties are already stretched thin, and communities across Kentucky’s 1st are speaking up to protect their farmland, their water, and their power bills.
Here’s where I stand. I support a national moratorium on new data center construction until we have real rules in place. If these projects move forward, the companies behind them should pay their full share of taxes with no decades-long exemptions. They should be held to strong protections for our water and environment, make sure their power use never lands on your utility bill, and answer to the communities they move into.
I support bringing jobs and investment to Kentucky, and I’ll never trade our land, our water, or our families’ health for a billionaire’s quick buck.
Big Tech should pay its fair share, just like every family, farm, and small business in Kentucky’s 1st.
I am here for you.

At Country Aire Mobile Home Park in Paducah, lot rent is going up to $535 a month in January. One resident was paying $155 when she moved in back in 2014.
A lot of the folks living there are seniors, living with a disability, or on a fixed income. Resident Marquitta Woodford said it plainly to WPSD Local 6: “People ain’t eating because of how much we’re paying.”
I keep hearing similar stories from people across Kentucky's first.
Rent and mortgages keep climbing. Gas keeps climbing. The grocery bill keeps climbing. Paychecks and Social Security checks aren’t keeping up. When housing takes half of what you bring in, something has to give, and too often it’s the food on the table.
I see it at my own campground too.
More and more, I’ve got folks trying to live full-time in an RV because it costs less than an apartment or a house payment. These are hardworking people doing everything right, and they’re still getting squeezed out.
Families across Kentucky’s 1st are in a crisis, and they need help now.
I’m running to lower housing, grocery, gas, and utility costs so families and seniors can afford to stay in the communities they love. We need somebody in Washington who sees this up close and knows what it’s doing to people here at home.
Early voting runs through today, Saturday, October 31st. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd. Vote John “Drew” Williams for KY-01.

About 80,000 Kentuckians have lost SNAP food benefits under new federal rules, including 24,655 children and 6,572 seniors.
The changes came from the 2025 budget bill (H.R. 1), which also ended work-requirement exemptions for veterans, the homeless, young people leaving foster care, and adults ages 54 to 64. Congressman Comer voted for it.
Drew grew up with grandparents who relied on Medicaid and food stamps. He knows these programs keep families fed while they get back on their feet. No child in Kentucky's 1st should go hungry because of a vote in Washington.

Where the numbers stand for every county.
Every vote counts.

The numbers are in, and they’re encouraging!
We may not know exactly how people are voting, but one thing is clear: voters are showing up!
We've heard from Republicans who are voting blue, Democrats who are energized, and people across the political spectrum who are ready to make their voices heard.
It's exciting to see this level of engagement, and we're hopeful about what it means for November 3!
Let's keep the momentum going. Let's win this!

A reader in Frankfort wrote to The State Journal: “We can hire someone new: John ‘Drew’ Williams. Young. Intelligent. Blue-collar worker.” And: “He’s here for us.”
Thank you. That one meant a lot.
I build docks for a living. I know what it feels like when the grocery bill keeps climbing, filling the tank costs more every week, and health care takes a bigger bite out of every paycheck. I’m running to show up for every county in Kentucky’s 1st, with regular town halls and not one dime of corporate PAC money.
Early voting is open now through Saturday. Bring your photo ID, find your site at GoVoteKY.com, and vote John “Drew” Williams for KY-01 by Tuesday, November 3rd.

When Washington gets nervous about Kentucky, it means your vote matters. At his Northern Kentucky rally, President Trump warned Republicans they could lose Kentucky's Senate race.
A Republican congressman calls a Kentucky House seat a toss-up. Nothing is safe this year, including Kentucky's 1st. (Rep. Andy Barr said it's fair to call the 6th District “a toss-up.”)
He's asking for your vote on Nov. 3 and planning to file for governor right after. Kentucky's 1st deserves a full-time congressman.
If Comer wins the governor's race in 2027, he leaves this seat early, and Kentucky's 1st will need a special election that taxpayers pay for. Elect Drew now, skip those extra special election costs, and send a true fighter for working people to D.C.
Vote John "Drew" Williams for KY-01 on November 3rd!

Day two of early voting, and folks across this district are showing up.
Got a lunch break or a free hour after work? Use it. Grab your photo ID, grab a coworker or a neighbor, and go vote together.
Every ballot cast this week is a vote for lower grocery bills and prescription costs, for protecting the Medicare and Social Security our families paid into, and for a congressman who actually holds town halls and listens to the people he works for.

Here's something interesting about our own communities!
In Franklin, Fulton, Henderson, Marion, Union, and Webster counties, more residents are registered as Democrats than Republicans. Yet, the 2024 congressional election results told a different story.
These aren't just numbers on a spreadsheet. They're our neighbors, our families, and the communities we call home.
Being registered is one thing. Making your voice heard at the ballot box is another.
Your vote matters. Get out the vote!
