How do you have the worst attendance? Have time to show up at the gym, do collabs with celebrities, make TikTok’s, campaign for endless candidates, do press photo shoots with your boyfriend… but not show up to the job you are elected and paid for ? This is a big problem in the city. We often hear about Republicans and “old school” candidates but these folks are showing up to work. We need our Gen Z socialist folks showing up to their job as seriously as they take lighting in their TikToks… I recently made a video (I’ll link below) about city and state officials being really loud about federal issues they have little influence over - while being lackluster on the things which they have the most control. Chi, should be at the top of the list for attendance - not the bottom… wait is he … nevermind
Mamdani's DSA ally Chi Ossé has worst attendance of any NYC Council member trib.al/Y679JTA

Four years ago I bought the Black Adam. It's the 1/1 from Adam Bomb Squad by @thehundreds. Token #16187, ranked #1 for rarity out of 25,000. This is the story of that bomb, and why I bought it. 🧵💣

My guy @aspenshredder earlier today was telling me about the lore of this collection Adam bomb squad, that to be honest, I didn’t know much about. Decided to do some research on it today. Noticed @machibigbrother had a really cool one in his collection. Messaged him that I might buy one of this collection for my daughter as a gift and did he have any advice and direction to help me navigate. Hour later he transferred his personal one into my wallet with a DM from the other side of the world saying “no charge Adam, hope your kid enjoys”. Love this space and the people in it ❤️ @thehundreds @AdamBombSquad @bobbyhundreds @BenHundreds @adambomb @Disney

Replying to @SoFiStadium
@SoFiStadium the head security working at VIP Entry Gate 6 need to be fired. First of all I wear my Rams x LAFD helmet to every home game, and never had any issues. There were tons of fans with their helmets on. Why not let me in? Was forced to take my helmet off and get embarrassed in front of all the other fans. Talking to your customers in a condescending and rude way wth? That was the worst experience I ever had at SOFI. Looking at the Oculus we see tons of folks with helmets ? Then u guys scratch my helmet by pounding it on your search table. U guys scratched it wth, it’s a one of kind piece with autographs and u guys scratched it. Then you tell me to put it in my car but make my pregnant wife who is having a tough time as it is cramping to wait for me and not alllow her to go with me. Future embarrassing us in front of other fans and almost making my pregnant wife a health episode. Unbelievable to the point of never coming back. We even told you my wife is pregnant and this is the way you treat your customer. I hope this goes viral. We spend big dollars at SOFI and the treatment you gave to my pregnant wife and myself is very very very disappointing and straight endangered my pregnant wife. Fix your issues. And fire that head security at VIP gate 6 even the other workers were like just let them thru. Thank you for turning our fun day to a very difficult situation for my pregnant wife. Really messed up. #Ramily #RamsNation #RamsHouse

“The politicians have been playing us.” Former CFTC Chair @giancarloMKTS reacts to the CLARITY Act’s failure in the Senate at @avax Summit, arguing Washington’s political class failed the American people. But he says crypto adoption won’t stop: “The institutions are moving in and adopting digital rails, and there’s no turning back.”

This afternoon, Senate Democrats proved they were never truly serious about protecting consumers and preserving American leadership. I sat at the table with Senate Democrats working in good faith to get this done while they played games. For over a year, they presented demands and the second we met them, they made new demands and moved the goal posts. Today they voted against real limitations on politicians’ personal crypto investments. They voted against protecting American consumers from the scammers and fraudsters this bill would have shut down. They voted against American leadership, and handed China and every one of our foreign competitors exactly what they wanted. Democrats chose politics over the American people—again. That’s not leadership on their part, that’s surrender to their radical, socialist base. The once-proud Democratic party is anti-consumer and pro-illicit finance, anti-ethics, anti-free enterprise, anti-worker, anti-livable wage jobs, and pro-socialism. The Democrats are now anti-American. Sad!

With all due respect @ChrisVanHollen you haven’t attended a single meeting to discuss any of this over the last 18 months. Had you bothered to be engaged in actual legislation, as opposed to social media videos, you’d know this bill has the strictest ethics provisions in the history of the US Congress and the first ever legislation to affect the President and Vice President. Without passing the Clarity Act, there are ZERO restrictions to ANY elected official! As for the “lots of other problems” you basically repeat tired and meaningless statements about illicit finance. Anyone who has watched Latin America destroyed by drug cartels and illegal migration will tell you that cash is the main instrument for illegal activity. Again, had you bothered to come to a single meeting, or just ask any of us a question, you’d find out that the Clarity Act actually improves law enforcement’s ability to crack down on illicit activity. It’s why national law enforcement groups support this bill! Finally, the vote on Tuesday just means we move forward to consider the bill. If you have concerns, which is news to those of us working on the bill, let’s get on the bill and then you can offer any amendments you’d like. I know I’m new and you’ve been there for almost a decade, but this is how the Senate should work. I look forward to you engaging in a constructive way to provide first ever regulation to an industry you claim to need said regulation. Vote yes on Tuesday, 9/15 at 2:15 pm est! 🇺🇸
In August, we stopped the Clarity Act, but when the Senate returns this week the crypto industry & their Republican flunkies in Congress will try again. As is, this bill does nothing to stop Trump's crypto corruption or the use of crypto by bad actors. We can't let this pass.

Every stablecoin issuer says it's regulated. A money transmitter license, a state trust charter, and federal prudential supervision all qualify and carry different reserve rules, verification requirements, and outcomes if the issuer fails. $RLUSD was built for the stricter reading of that word: a limited-purpose trust charter, segregated reserves, and monthly independent CPA attestation with a federal supervisory layer conditionally approved on top. Unpacking what "regulated" actually means: on.ripple.com/3TrbPUD

If CLARITY continues to stall because of Democratic obstruction, the @CFTC will utilize its existing authorities to begin establishing a regime for crypto asset markets. We owe it to the American people to do so. Here's how we'll get it done ⬇️

The Japan carry trade could derail the bull market but investors aren’t paying attention. I sat down with @leadlagreport to unpack one of the least talked about risks in the market, how oil prices and the yen could spark the next flash crash, hedging against extreme tail risks, and whether the AI trade has become overextended. The hardest thing about building a business is those who don’t know how hard it is can’t show sympathy or empathy for the sleepless nights, countless hours of anxiety, and sheer exhaustion and self-doubt. Every week is a struggle, every week is a grind, every week is pain. There is no empathy. There is no sympathy. There is no appreciation. You can’t know what it’s like unless you’re in those shoes. Unless you have no plan B.

Japan's economy is now breaking from three directions at once. The Bank of Japan is running the most aggressive tightening in its history, and this is a central bank that has spent 25 years doing the exact opposite. • The BOJ drained ¥23.5 trillion, about $146 billion, from the market in the quarter ending June 30. That is the largest quarterly drop of this entire QT cycle. • Since its 2024 peak, the BOJ has shed ¥116.9 trillion, roughly $726 billion, or 15.6% of its total assets. • It is now selling its equity ETFs and J-REITs outright. Nothing on the balance sheet is protected anymore. The bond market is already showing the damage. • The 10-year JGB yield hit 2.90%, the highest since September 1996. That is a 30-year high. • It rose for nine straight sessions, the longest streak in 19 years. • The 20-year is at 3.89%, the 30-year at 4.03%, and the 40-year at 4.055%. Both long ends are at record levels. Inflation is now forcing the BOJ's hand. • Japan's PPI just came in at 7.1% year over year, above the 6.8% forecast and up from 6.3%. • The policy rate is still only 1.0%, far behind where inflation sits. • Higher inflation means more rate hikes. More rate hikes means even less liquidity in a market that is already being drained. That is the first problem. The second is the currency. The BOJ has attempted small interventions over the last few days and none of them held. USD/JPY is still sitting near 162, close to a 40-year low for the yen. Japan already spent $72 to $73 billion defending it earlier this year and it did not work. A weak yen is not a small problem. Japanese companies are going bankrupt because import costs keep rising. To actually strengthen the yen, Japan has to drain foreign reserves and hike rates harder. Doing that risks breaking its own stock market, and something much bigger. The yen carry trade is still estimated at $4 to $8 trillion. That money is borrowed cheaply in yen and parked in US stocks, emerging market debt, and crypto. In August 2024, a single 0.15% BOJ hike triggered an unwind that crashed the Nikkei 12.4% in one session, its worst day since 1987. Then there is the third problem, and this one has no policy fix. • Japan recorded 671,236 births in 2025, the lowest since records began in 1899. • The fertility rate fell to 1.14, far below the 2.1 needed to hold a population steady. • Deaths exceeded births by over 900,000 people for the second year in a row. • Population has fallen from 128 million to around 123 million. • Nearly 29% of the country is now over 65. Debt is rising. The workforce that has to service that debt is disappearing. Japan has the highest debt-to-GDP ratio in the world at 204.4%. Its central bank is draining liquidity, its bond yields are at 30-year highs, its currency is collapsing, and its future taxpayers are not being born. Most people are watching the Fed. The next global shock is far more likely to start in Tokyo.

BREAKING: Japan just confirmed a massive Yen-buying intervention. Last time the Bank of Japan sold US dollars to save the Yen, global markets crashed brutally. But this time it is even worse. Today they are dealing with two problems at the same time. Japan's 10 year bond yield is at 2.52%, the highest since 1999. The 5 year bond just hit a record high of 1.88%. The BOJ is defending the yen while its own bond market is selling off hard. In 2024 bonds were stable. Today every dollar they spend buying yen tightens liquidity, and tightening liquidity puts more pressure on bonds already at 27 year high yields. Both problems feed each other and there is no clean way out. Oil is at $120 and Every barrel Japan imports gets more expensive as the yen weakens, which pushes inflation higher, which forces the BOJ toward rate hikes, which slows an economy already being damaged by the US-Iran war. The BOJ raised its inflation forecast this week to 2.8% while simultaneously cutting its GDP growth forecast to just 0.5%. Three of nine board members already voted for a rate hike at the last meeting. The BOJ is being squeezed from both sides, hike rates to defend the yen and you damage an economy already under pressure from the war. Do nothing and the yen keeps weakening and imported inflation keeps rising. In 2024 oil was not a factor. Today it is the core driver of everything. Investors currently hold the largest short yen position since July 2024. Every single one of those positions is now being forced to unwind at the same time. When that happened in 2024 it did not just move the yen, it crashed stocks, crypto, and bond yields simultaneously across every major market. Japan's Finance Minister Katayama told G7 members Japan is watching FX with a "high sense of urgency" and confirmed direct talks with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent about the yen. And Kevin Warsh takes over as Fed Chair on May 15. If he signals any lean toward rate cuts, the interest rate gap between the US and Japan narrows and the carry trade that has been driving USD/JPY to 160 unwinds violently on its own, without any BOJ action needed at all. In 2024 the BOJ had one tool and one problem. They spent $62 billion and it worked temporarily. Today they have a weak yen, a bond market at 27 year highs, oil at $120, an active war raising inflation, and a new Fed Chair arriving in two weeks.
