Companies making huge profits and exploiting the welfare system by receiving housing benefits on behalf of residents but fail to give them the required support. Corporations like profits, not social responsibility. Yet neoliberals push deregulation. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm62…

If war is declared on Russia, here is my suggestion for the order for conscription: 1. The children of every politician voting for war. 2. Every politician of fighting age voting for war. 3. The Nonce Bonnets (no matter what their age. If they can put up flags and terrorise migrants, they are fit enough for conscription. 4. Reform/Restore voters of fighting age. 5. The children of Reform/Restore voters of fighting age unless their social media history notes their rejection of their parents' rancid views.

A timely reminder that leaked Israeli studies found that pushing pro-Israel propaganda to Westerners didnt work & instead they advised spending millions blasting the West with racist Islamophobic content demonizing Muslims instead. I think about that a lot while browsing Twitter

We don’t need to raise taxes on the Banks. We can stop paying them interest on their deposits - this £30 Billion a year drives their outrageous profit levels. The EU and Switzerland already stopped doing this - it makes no sense to continue and even less sense to continue and then moan they make too much money and then tax them more - which they moan about. Our Banks are on massive Benefits - let’s cut them and get our banks back to work. If they can get 4% for doing nothing, they need to be paid more when lending to us - we make a burden for ourselves with these payments for nothing. buff.ly/pi1ohJ7

90% of England’s water industry is foreign owned. The result has been low investment, high customer bills, raw sewage in rivers, over 1,200 criminal convictions, and harms to nature, health and national security. Public ownership is needed. Watch the Minister's reply.

Will Labour next week in the budget tell us sad stories about "difficult decisions" and how there's "no money left?" Or will this Labour Government challenge the broken economic thinking that has lead us to this place? And tax the assets of multimillionaires & billionaires? 👀

Yeah, so my father arrived in the UK in 1966 as a legal immigrant. He and his fellow Indian immigrants didn’t claim the entire country was theirs, didn’t kick 100s of 1000s of Brits out of their homes, and didn’t set up an Indian ethno-national state in the UK. If you’re too dumb or dishonest to understand the difference between normal, legal immigration and settler colonialism, that’s on you, not me.
Just so weird when someone living in the UK called Mehdi Hasan makes this argument. His family comes from India. I’m not sure he's thought the argument through to its unpleasant conclusion.

This is what billionaire ownership of the media means: Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta shut down the No Kings account for hours during the height of their protests. Meta suppressed accounts supporting Brazil President Lula da Silva in the recent election. Larry Ellison’s TikTok blocked advertising for a documentary criticizing Elon Musk. Fight back. Defeat oligarchy. Preserve democracy.

The Dept for Health and Social Care told us to take down our spoof video criticising Palantir’s NHS contract. We checked with our lawyers, and we’ve not done anything wrong. So we’re reposting it, in case you missed it 👀

NEW: 🇮🇱 🇬🇧 Palantir has just OVERRIDDEN the Mayor of London after Sadiq Khan tried to BLOCK their contract with the Met Police. Khan dared to oppose the foreign totalitarian Zionist spytech company backed by Peter Thiel embedding itself into our police, yet Palantir somehow managed to get the high court to overrule him… Now they can bid again for the £50M contract. If a company like Palantir, that uses its products to literally kill and control people, can force our own politicians to back down what does that mean for society? Palantir is set to be embedded into British Police, healthcare and defence. A total takeover. @andyburnham this is travesty.

Thanks for not responding to the content of my post. Burnham didn't just criticise the motion on the points you raise (all fair and debatable points about 1 vs 2-state). The PM stood up in Parliament and, prompted by a question from a Tory backbencher, declared large numbers of Jewish and Palestinian anti-Zionists antisemitic by implication. Why are you not perturbed by this fact? By the PM using his authority to cast anti-Zionist Jews and Palestinians under the bus? By the PM using his vast power to try collapse local governments on the basis that the motion is antisemitic - when it plainly isn't? Why are you not disturbed by him implying that Andrew Feinstein, Ilan Pappe, Stephen Kapos, Gharda Karmi & Ahmed Alnaouaq are engaged in Jew-hate? Do you not find it galling that he's implied this of people who have lost whole families to the genocide? Who have used every fibre of their being, all their political capital, to fight against a genocide being live-streamed around the world? Who have done so despite threats and abuse and hardship? Who have done so as your Party called anti-genocide protestors "hate marchers", and enabled the slaughter of innocents? Are you not disturbed that Burnham is doing this in lockstep with Bridget Philipson, one of the Labour Together "brave" eight? Do you not see the continuity between Labour Together's despicable project, that harassed Jewish anti-Zionists and then enabled a genocide, and what Burnham is doing now? Because pretty much everyone else who has followed this for years can see it - and they're appalled. Rightly so. This is gutter politics, genuinely disgraceful. And it is shredding the tiny fragments of goodwill generated by Miliband's new broom.

Here’s a better idea. Tax the massive windfall profits banks are making from higher interest rates. And bail out ordinary people for a change!
