Hello! I reviewed @WildUp's newest volume in their Julius Eastman anthology today. I think what I love most about this series is the way it's shaping up to be part archival work, part homage. I'm especially blown away by one of the new arrangements.

The @WildUp plays a 15-minute arrangement of Julius Eastman's 'Stay On It' in the Tiny Desk Concert. Eastman is celebrated as an experimental visionary who brandished his provocative way of getting the listener to think about sound and context.

1. The @WildUp Julius Eastman project (recording all of his music that we can find) is exciting/inspiring AF.
2. This @nprmusic Tiny Desk concert underscores that.
3. Is that @orionrountree wearing a Dune (give me all the lamb, hummus, falafel, + accoutrements plz) đ§˘hat?!?!
Not too many Tiny Desk concerts have made me cry: Wild Up performing Julius Eastman at the Tiny Desk made me cry.
Also good to meet @pshiroishi IRL for the first time!

Ventured to NYC for LA friends @WildUp @orionrountree at the @92ndStreetY in Radical Adornment: The Music of Julius Eastman. Didnât absorb the full 5-hour âfree-flowingâBuddha, but caught a good portion, the resonant photo exhibit & the super awesome musicians at the bar.
