Every single day, we continue to see huge numbers of posts and conversations about #WangWang. This isn’t a one-day trend. It has been happening consistently for weeks, with people across different platforms using their voices to keep spreading the story. And there is another important part of this story that cannot be ignored: censorship in China. Information can be restricted, posts can disappear, searches can be limited, and conversations can be prevented from reaching wider audiences. Yet despite those barriers, people continue to talk about #WangWang and continue finding ways to share the information. That makes the level of ongoing discussion even more significant. Think about it: if people are still talking about something day after day, week after week, despite censorship and attempts to control the spread of information, you have to ask why the conversation refuses to disappear. Some people will stay silent. Others will look the other way. But many people are choosing to speak. They are posting. They are sharing. They are discussing. They are spreading the message. Every day, the numbers show that WangWang is still being talked about. Every day, more people are seeing the name and learning about the story. You cannot silence a conversation simply by trying to suppress it. If anything, censorship can make people more determined to find alternative ways to communicate and share information. WangWang has continued to generate conversation for weeks. The voices are still there. The posts are still coming. The discussion is still growing. And people are still speaking. You can restrict information. You can remove posts. But you cannot easily stop people from talking. #JusticeForWangwang #WangWang is being heard. 🐶
