Get ready for a major pattern change! We're tracking big temperature drops heading our way for the Carolinas. If you have old injuries, arthritis, or other joint ailments, you might literally feel this front moving in. It's not just your imagination—the sharp cool-down and dropping barometric pressure can make tissues swell, spiking joint stiffness and discomfort. Take a look at the attached "Aches and Pains Graph". You can see our forecast pressure takes a noticeable dive starting Friday morning, bottoming out in the "Low" category by Friday afternoon and lingering into Saturday morning. This pressure drop pushes us right into the yellow zone, indicating a higher chance of flare-ups, aches, and pains. The good news? The pressure climbs back up into the "High" tier by Saturday afternoon and stays steadily in the green zone—meaning fewer aches—through early next week. Bundle up, keep those joints moving, and take it easy on Friday!#cltwx #ncwx #scwx #wcnc #wxbrad #weatherimpact

Truly honored tonight to receive the Fire Chief’s Letter of Commendation at the Charlotte Fire Department's 2026 Awards Ceremony for my years of work with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management. Providing weather briefings and information to help protect our city has been one of the most meaningful parts of my work. Huge thanks to the fire department and emergency management teams for the incredible work they do every single day. Whatever I can do to support them is a privilege. This is honestly one of the biggest honors I’ve received in this city. I’m proud to be part of this community and to call Charlotte home. Thank you! 💙#cltwx #charotteproud #ncwx #scwx #wxbrad #wcnc #CFD
