🧓🥣 100 days of school sure fly when you're having fun! First Graders at Heatherstone Elementary School celebrated by having a representative from the Olathe Historical Society (who also happens to be one of our Summit Trail Middle School Teachers), Miss Emma Plankers, take them back in time with her time machine to see what school and life were like over the past 100 years. Students were SHOCKED by all the things that weren't around; notably, there was NO cereal!!!
💯 After Miss Plankers safely returned them to the year 2026, they visited the Golden Olden Museaum to discover things that were invented at least 100 years ago. They also made their own 100 piece trail mix! #OPSGrowHere

Farmers often use the phrase "on the short rows now" signifying that the work is almost done. As you start “on the short rows” of the school year encourage your students to write a note to thank a farmer for supporting STEM education. kscorn.com/thankafarmer/ #kscorn #corn #STEM

Happy #LEGOday! The LEGO (which means “play-well” in Danish) was invented by a carpenter in Denmark in 1932. The original LEGOs were wooden but today’s plastic LEGOs use corn starch to coat the molds to help the bricks pop out easier. #kscorn #STEM #science #teachAG #STEAM #corn
