For the first time ever, Nottingham has zero Tory councillors.
Congratulations to newly and re-elected councillors here and across the country!
Our communities rejected the Tories’ agenda of real terms pay cuts, austerity and spreading hate.
Bring on the general election 💪🏽

Not many in dance music are talking about it (at least not publicly), but the "return" of clubs/festivals isn't going as smoothly as advertised.
Despite that, the pressure to pretend nothing's wrong and project success remains intense.
I wrote about it for @_FirstFloor.

Gayle Bennett is the owner of @soulandflare and an instrumental part of the Sneinton Market Avenues family. For International Women's Day, she has nominated @avarnib of @Wigflex and @FlyGirl_x. #IWD2022
ALT Gayle Bennett from Soul and Flare nominates Avarni Kaur.
ALT "I was fortunate to meet Avarni little over a year we ago and when we met it was an instant connection and we shared a mutual work ethic. We want to make waves within the creative industries of Nottingham, and we are both just doing that. Avarni’s mission is to empower every single woman & non-binary person she meets, and the brand she has created, @flygirl.x is a platform that helps hype, educate & support all females, especially prioritising those of colour. She is a force of nature and is only going to do more big things in the city."
