I'm proud to announce that Project Manabase is live ! :D

This project simulates lands combinations and evaluates if they can play the spell on curve. It handles fetchlands and checklands. 1/X

HOF discussion: I think JED isn't getting enough attention, he is THE pillar of the French community on top of being an exceptional player.
He build the Baguette crew, he created the largest cube community in France, he plays a ton of local events and is loved by the community

Morty: Capitalism gives everyone a chance to get rich if they just work hard enough.
Rick: Oh my god, Morty! Capitalism doesn't work if everyone wins. It needs poverty to function. Someone has to take the low-paying jobs so the profits keep flowing upward. If everyone had real financial security, no one would take those positions and the system would collapse.
Morty: But Rick, that's just how the market works. Some people earn more because they provide more value.
Rick: Tell that to the kid assembling your iPhone overseas for pennies while some CEO makes millions off it. Capitalism doesn't reward work, it rewards ownership. You don't climb the ladder by working hard, you climb it by owning the ladder. The workers collectively produce infinitely more value than some shareholder living in the Bahamas.
Morty: Okay, but isn't it about freedom People can still move up if they make good choices. Look at people who came from nothing and became successful, like entrepreneurs or celebrities.
Rick: Those are exceptions, idiot. That's why they're on TV. For every one person who makes it out, millions stay stuck because they never had the same luck, connections, or safety nets. The system needs those stories so people believe it's fair.
One thing Pioneer Angels told me : if the deck feels easy you're missing something.
Only thing I’ll say about “easy” decks is: if a deck feels easy to you, that doesn’t mean it’s easy for everyone else. Thinking otherwise is incredibly narrow minded.
A lot of top players make decks look easy because they’re just good at the game.
In Magic, I’ve heard “only Ali can win with that deck” more times than I can count. I didn’t fully understand it until I watched other people try to pilot some of the decks I built.
And honestly, none of this even matters. A deck being “hard” or “easy” has never determined whether it deserves to win tournaments.
Let people enjoy the game instead of shitting on them for what they play.
It was a pleasure working with you on this card ! Hopefully I'll be able to have my hands on some of those so you can sign them !
I realized I forgot to share the YT about my card from winning AlteredTCG Worlds! It has some Watchwolf elements, alluded to Rinku from YYH, and other motifs.
I truly love this game, the people I have met through it, and the memories I will keep forever. youtube.com/watch?v=2Tfp1_7i…
It's been a bit over a year since I've got into competitive bot programming for StarCraft 2.
I had the chance of recording a video with @LaughNgamez where we talk about how I got into both programming and game design and why bots are a bit of both.
I hope you enjoy the listen !

Feelings are not an illusion. Taking bad games actions because you drew bad feels infinitely bette than not taking action because the game system screwed you.
It's 2026 now, we can acknowledge that feelings matter ! 😁
Every TCG is going to have non-games. Non-games are the result of variance which is something TCG's need.
Some people feel like Magic's non-games are worse because the variance comes from the mana system, so a MTG non-game is "you don't play you cards." In reality this is no more of a non-game than some Hearthstone card doing something random to kill you out of nowhere, but Magic takes more heat for it because it feels worse.
It's basically the same concept as how in Commander you can Doom Blade your opponent's commander and it's fine, but if you counter it they get salty. The result is the same, but the Doom Blade gives you the illusion that you were actually making progress and doing something. It tricks you into thinking your decisions mattered, but really they didn't.
Non-games in other TCG's do a better job of giving you this illusion, to tricking you into thinking that they aren't really non-games because you are taking game actions and doing things. But really they are the same as getting mana screwed.
