The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

A brief review of recent technical “errors” at Meta:
1. Restricting the Facebook pages of Brazilian president Lula who is in a runoff election against a Trump-favored candidate
2. Shutting down the pages of Albanians protesting Jared Kushner’s plans to build a luxury resort in the country
3. Rejecting ads for a documentary critical of Elon Musk
4. Shutting down the No Kings instagram page in the middle of a major anti-Trump protest

Will be very interesting to see how football governance views more than £900m of financial doping over nine years compared to a lad in jeans with an iPhone. Hard to justify anything other than the harshest possible sanctions. Feel for Man City fans, they’ve been cheated as well.

🚨🚨A White House official tells me: "Ambassdor Huckabee’s comments on the UK sanctions against Israeli settlements were not coordinated with the White House or Main State."
"This is an irrational action... if the UK is really interested in dealing with issues they feel like are wrong, where are the sanctions against North Korea, China, Russia?"
US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, who has accused the UK government and Ed Miliband of 'Jew hate' speaks to @annaefoster about the plan to sanction goods and services from West Bank settlements.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The UK sanctions on Russia include over 3400 designations. The UK also has a sanctions regime against North Korea. commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-brief… gov.uk/guidance/democ…

Before #FIFA start pumping the propaganda tonight and telling us all how amazing this #WorldCup has been, let’s remember they oversaw:
- highest ticket prices ever and took a cut from resale sites.
- did nothing about Somalian referee and dozens of staff who were banned from entering the US for no legitimate reason.
- stood by as Iran were forced to train outside the US and travel in on match days.
- overturned red cards after phone calls with the president.
- Americanised the beautiful game with hydration (TV) breaks and 25 mins half time in the final
- guided Argentina through the tournament with less travel, VAR support and blatantly turning a blind due to their aggression and foul play.

For my entire life Argentina have been our footballing enemy.
A jingoistic enmity wrapped up in Argentina’s inferiority complex, the Falklands War and the Hand of God.
The tragedy of this World Cup is that of all the teams to capitulate to it’s them. England need to embrace the history and learn not to be weighed down by it.
The “Malvinas” shtick makes it difficult to hate them more.

The Football Association is reportedly considering appealing against England's Red Card against Mexico, after a USA player had his ban suspended by FIFA following a controversial intervention from Donald Trump.
The move has led to football's governing body being accused of bringing the integrity of the World Cup under threat. Despite being sent off in their last match, striker Folarin Balogun played in the U.S. defeat to Belgium overnight. Trump told reporters he made the appeal as he believed the dismissal was unfair.

Madame Celeste Amarilla,
