Billionaires like @elonmusk are threatened by Bluesky. We’re building an open social network that lets you choose your own feed, gives you the right to leave, and gives communities the tools to self-govern. The skies are bluer on bsky.app. Sign up for Bluesky (no invite code required): bsky.app
Exactly. Any organization that puts “Trust” in their name cannot trusted, as that is obviously a euphemism for censorship. We are changing the name of our Trust & Safety group, to simply @Safety. Trust is something that must be earned. The goal of our Safety team is simply to ensure compliance with the laws that already exist to protect the people.

Twitter’s former boss picked Jay Graber to create a spinoff called Bluesky. So far, Bluesky, is the best-funded company in the nascent industry, and Graber views the company’s newfound status as an outsider, as an asset. trib.al/P4984Mm

You can use domain names as handles in Bluesky! Here’s why we’ve designed the AT protocol to let you join a social network with a domain name as your handle. blueskyweb.xyz/blog/3-6-2023…

Time for a tweet thread on the blog post I published yesterday. 🧵 Our main work at @bluesky so far has been on the @at_protocol. We built an app to make sure our protocol design supports a good user experience.

Imagine if your social media account was hosted in a git repository. You could choose to use a site like Github, but could also easily move to others like Gitlab or Bitbucket. This is essentially how Bluesky's AT Protocol handles user data.
