Meanwhile, Pakistan’s batting lineup decided not to show up today, getting bundled out for 110. Great bowling by Sri Lanka, but England will be stunned to leave without even playing the final. They’ll have only themselves to blame after throwing away two matches they should have won. Pakistan would certainly prefer Sri Lanka over England in the final.

Players sometimes treat reviews as if they’re entitled to one, no matter what. Babar first advised Maaz to review a plumb LBW, wasting one review. Then he got trapped right in front himself but still took a review, wasting the second. We saw last game how Shadab’s review proved crucial at the end. You never know when you might need one. Sadly, our senior players still struggle to understand these little things.
