‼️ Ahold Delhaize says the outage at its US and European grocery chains was a cyberattack. Food Lion and Stop & Shop online shopping is still down. It has no evidence yet that sensitive data was taken. It filed a police report Monday.

‼️BREAKING: The hacker behind the AfD email leak told us they targeted the party to expose what they call its greed and financial misuse. "Hacktivism is often the only answer to populism of this magnitude." "The AFD takes a legitimate frustration and uses it to rob the poorest 20% of this country," they wrote. "The amount of financial misuse in these documents is appalling, regardless of what you think of immigrants."
‼️BREAKING: A leak site published 421.179 internal emails from Germany's far-right AfD, including the mailbox of ex-leader Alexander Gauland. ICD found it shows AI-written summaries, not the emails. The newest is from 12 September. Its own index file names a server "afd_exfil".

krebsonsecurity.com/2026/10/… New research from @briankrebs which indicates that the recently arrested 54-year-old cybersecurity executive was deeply in the loop on recent ShinyHunters attacks... and his former business partner also had odd ties to threat actors...

The G7 is planning simulations of AI-driven cyberattacks against banks. In a real world AI-driven cyberattack, countries with weaker cyber capabilities are highly likely to be hit hardest. Given the interconnected nature of global financial systems, a single disruption to critical financial operations could trigger cascading effects on global financial stability.

Sophos makes security software used by thousands of businesses. When hackers started breaking into their firewalls, Sophos hid a surveillance tool inside a routine software update to watch the attackers in real time. What they uncovered went far beyond just their own products.

🚨 The "sophisticated recording device" OpenAI discovered is available for $23.51. The Antenna they found is available for $0.50.
We discovered a sophisticated recording device that was hidden inside one of our offices. We used our models to understand the device and where it had come from, identifying that a specific employee had planted it a few days earlier. We referred the matter to the FBI, and we’re grateful to the agents and prosecutors who moved quickly to make an arrest. The FBI’s investigation is ongoing and we will continue to support their work. At this time, we have no indications of this individual inappropriately accessing or exfiltrating model weights, source code, or customer data. The employee was terminated. We take protecting our technology, data, and people seriously, and as a matter of national importance. Our security program is designed to protect against a wide range of threat actors, from insider risks to cybercriminals to nation states, and this case is an example of how AI can help address these sophisticated security threats.

FBI and partners arrested this individual after he allegedly concealed a recording device inside his employer's executive conference room to secretly capture sensitive communications about the company’s super intelligence tech - Thank you to @ODNIgov Jay Clayton @AGToddBlanche and our law enforcement partners for their support in this case. Investigation ongoing. Protecting American SI innovation is critically important and FBI views it as one of our highest counterintelligence priorities.
BREAKING: A Saudi national/OpenAI employee has been arrested by the FBI after he was allegedly caught placing an eavesdropping/audio recording device inside of OpenAI’s executive conference room in San Francisco, CA. Feds say Abdulrahman Alfozan made his first appearance in federal court today. OpenAI says they immediately contacted the FBI after they discovered the device & are grateful the feds made a quick arrest. Alfozan was caught on CCTV cameras at OpenAI. From the complaint: “Alfozan had been employed as an engineer by the company identified as “Company 1” since July 2025. On or about Sept. 30, Company 1 personnel discovered a surreptitious audio recording device (Recording Device 1) inserted into a USB port on the back of a television in an executive conference room inside one of Company 1’s buildings in San Francisco. Company 1 determined that the device, which had been concealed in toilet paper, was installed on or about Sept. 28, and that its contents were encrypted.”
