1996. JAŸ-Z & Jaz freestyle on Stretch & Bobbito. Hov’s verse is what would become the second verse on the soon to be released Dead Presidents II.

Man, I have been a @TIDAL member since Day 1. I was fortunate to have opportunities to see JAŸ-Z B-Sides Pt.1, Alicia Keys, Made In America Tickets, Celebrity Basketball games at The Barclay's, 4:44 Listening Party at the 40/40 Club, Jay Elect AWT Listening Party (Was canceled due to Covid) and now, Hov at Yankee Stadium. Folks really try to downplay TIDAL. The other DSPs have a wider base so they're more popular. It's Quality over Quantity at TIDAL, tho. It has always had the best sound quality, a great user interface, higher payouts for artists and has always done a great job of giving back to its subscribers. Idk if the other platforms have done as much directly for their bases.

JAŸ-Z, photographed for Stress Magazine, 1996 by Danny Hastings, who recalled: I waited hours at Roc-A-Fella near Wall Street. When Jay stepped out, he was standoffish and pressed for time, just 15 minutes, so I had to match his energy and work with the lines of the city.

The pure definition of a silenced sniper shot. Cam heard and felt it, but none of us even knew a shot was fired.
