Replying to @TerpsMLax
@TerpsMLax coach John Tillman tells @Terrapins247 about SMU adding lacrosse: "I think anytime there's expansion that's good for the sport. You know if we can get some more programs, that's good for everybody... (cont.)
Surrender Cobra is eternal.
New today at @TheAthletic is a project I've wanted to do as long as I've been watching sports on television.
It's a collection of the full spectrum of raw emotion on display at the World Cup, told only through fan reactions in the stands.
Here's anxiety, via "hands on head:"
Literally the most NCAA thing ever! ESPN broadcast partners will just have to power through like it never happened. LOLOLOLOLO!!!
Looking pretty good...

Obvious dirty hit. Can't believe the refs didn't see this. Don't think the Big Ten can even do anything about it.
Eric Spanos in the starting lineup for the Terps. Hunter Aquino for the Nits still out.

Wherein the universities and athletic directors argue against themselves over a system they created and control.
With little national enforcement & no federal bill, some college leaders are calling for change: Can each conference govern itself, enforce rules and compete only with its members?
An exasperated industry searches for answers.

The argument that BYU's two losses to..*checks notes*...to 4th seeded TTU being worse than Miami's two losses to...*checks notes*...SMU and Louisville is problematic. The committee didn't want the ACC (ESPN property) excluded. Simple as that.
Wait? Because they're simply moving a game back a couple of years, this is your example of a crisis? Herbie, please pick better examples when shilling for the SEC to get Texas into the playoffs. Pretty poor attempt here.
Get ready to see this happen all over the sport. If it’s only about how many wins ya have and not who you’re playing and where you’re playing you’re gonna see every AD make these same moves. Kiss meaningful non conference games in late August and early September goodbye. Cupcakes moving forward till teams get to conference play.
The TV crew said Rutgers was missing 14 players across its 2-deep today, but I guess they have more depth and talent? If so, that’s just as bad of an indictment on Locks as his 0-12 off bye week record.
