WE ARE FURIOUS. 😡😡😡 We are sickened and heartbroken by footage showing a tiny, defenceless piglet being deliberately beaten yesterday morning, believed to be in the Ballinasloe, Co. Galway area, but not sure. Do you recognise the area??? What kind of person deliberately hurts an innocent animal that cannot defend itself? There is nothing funny about cruelty, nothing brave about causing pain, and absolutely nothing acceptable about this behaviour.😡😡😡 That little piglet deserves compassion and protection, not fear, pain and suffering. Animals feel. Animals hurt. Their lives matter, and this kind of cruelty must NEVER be tolerated. DID YOU WITNESS ANYTHING? DO YOU KNOW WHO WAS INVOLVED OR HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS INCIDENT? How many other animals have they attacked, mutilated, killed 😡😡😡😡💔 Next victim could be a human…very scary 💔💔😡😡 We beg anyone with information to please contact the Gaurds in Bray where it is believed this individual is from. 💔💔SEVEN DOGS RESCUED YESTERDAY, PUPPY FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE 💔💔💔💔 From early yesterday morning until almost midnight, our MLHR Animal Welfare teams were out on the road responding to animals in desperate need.💔💔💔 Three teams, 3 directions, a horse in Meath, a poor goat in Drimnagh, seven dogs rescued in Kilkenny 💔💔💔 Huge thank you to An Garda Síochána Kilkenny for their help. Once again, they were there when these animals needed someone to stand up for them and make sure they got to safety. ❤️ But one rescue has broken our hearts.💔💔 A tiny puppy, just five or six weeks old, was found locked inside a box and left in a forest. Two other dogs had been tied to trees in the forest.💔😡 The tiny puppy (Baby Cameron) is now fighting for his life at the vets. He has spent the day on a drip and will need to go back on the drip tomorrow. He is so young, so fragile, and so incredibly unwell.💔💔😡😡 And yet, despite everything that was done to him, he is still fighting. ❤️ We are heartbroken and angry.💔💔😡😡 The level of cruelty we are seeing is simply beyond comprehension.💔😡 When will it stop? When will our Government listen to the people and organisations on the ground who are dealing with this cruelty every single day? And most importantly, when will people be held accountable? Prosecutions matter. Accountability matters. These animals deserve justice. But while we fight for change, we still have animals to save today. And we cannot do that without you. POOR BABY FOX 💔💔💔💔💔 This little baby came into our care, and thankfully, someone found him just in time. 💔 He was so, so sick, covered in mange, and just a tiny little fox who seemed to have completely shut down. God love him. ❤️ We’ve now got him to Raheny Vets, who have been absolutely wonderful and so kind. They’re going to contact Kildare Wildlife Rescue, who are brilliant at dealing with cases like this.❤️ It’s heartbreaking to think of all the little foxes out there suffering, and sometimes you wonder how on earth they’re ever going to get the help they so desperately need. 💔 But for this little guy, there is hope. 💔 HEARTBREAKING… POOR LITTLE BOY 💔 This poor boy was brought into a vets in an absolutely horrific condition. We have taken him into MLHR CARE ❤️💔 X-rays have shown numerous broken ribs, along with bites and cuts all over his tiny body. Was he used for fighting? Was he attacked? Sadly, we just don’t know 💔 He is in serious shock, and our hearts are breaking for him. 💔💔💔💔TWO VERY SCARED BABIES….today we got them. 💔❤️ Little Emmi and Eli are finally safe. These two poor little collies were in the shelter/pound, absolutely terrified.💔💔💔 You can’t help but wonder what they have been through and what a human has done to make them so afraid.😡😡 But that life is over now. They’re on their way to a wonderful foster home, where they can finally begin to learn that life can be kind. They’ll have warmth, safety, patience and love and, most importantly, time to understand that from today, everything is going to be different.❤️ Thank you to everyone at the shelter who cared for them. 💔LATE NIGHT EMERGENCY 💔 Our 10:30pm tonight emergency call, and our lovely vet John from Blackwater Veterinary Clinic was there for us ❤️ As always, totally amazing.🤩 Poor Basil hasn’t been well tonight, and we were worried that he may be colicking or that he could have some sort of respiratory issue. Thankfully, John has been out to him and has given him some medication to settle him for the night. He’ll be back first thing in the morning to check on him again.❤️ We are so, so lucky to have this John. We really, really are. And we’re incredibly lucky to have such amazing people here on the farm 24/7, doing everything they can to keep our animals safe and cared for.❤️❤️ These emergencies are exactly why we need your support. 💔 THIS CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE 💔💔💔💔 Yesterday, our MLHR Cork team was called to Banduff, Cork, after a report of a poor foal with a severely broken leg.💔💔💔💔💔 What we found was heartbreaking. This poor baby had been chased, along with other horses, for nights by people on quads, apparently for their own amusement. 😡😡😡😡 The result was a terrified, injured foal left suffering with a devastating injury. By the time we arrived, there was nothing we could do to save him.💔 We had to call a vet, and then arrange for his body to be taken away.💔 But when we entered the field with the An Garda Síochána, we discovered three more horses in an appalling condition. They were severely emaciated and desperately weak.💔💔💔 We stayed until around midnight, working alongside the Gardaí and our vet to get a mare, her foal and another mare to safety. Our vet treated them, but they are still not out of danger.💔 One of the hardest things to witness was a mother struggling to care for her baby while she herself was starving.💔💔💔 💔 This is suffering that should never have been allowed to happen. We are incredibly grateful to the Mayfield Gardaí for their help, support and compassion. But this cannot simply end with rescuing the survivors.💔 That little foal suffered. The other horses were suffering right in front of people.💔💔😡😡 And our team is left carrying the heartbreak of knowing that one innocent life could not be saved.💔💔 We now face the veterinary bills, the cost of removing the body, and the ongoing costs of caring for the three horses we managed to save, costs that fall on a rescue organisation because someone else chose to be cruel or failed to provide proper care, just not giving a damn 😡😡😡😡 How many more horses have to suffer before something changes? What is happening in Banduff? What is happening across this country? Animal cruelty and neglect cannot become something we simply accept as normal. We are asking for your support, but we are also asking you to speak up. Contact the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine Contact your Minister. Contact your TDs. Ask what is being done. Ask for stronger action. Ask for accountability. Because these animals have no voice. We have to be their voice. We could not save that precious little foal. But we saved three others. We don't know exactly what happened to her, whether she was dragged or attacked, but we do know she has suffered terribly. And yet, despite everything, Lily has been the sweetest, gentlest girl. ❤️ She is currently at Firehouse Veterinary Clinic where the amazing team are doing everything they can for her. My Lovely Horse Animal Rescue are now taking her into our care because Lily deserves a second chance.❤️💔❤️💔 WE NEED A FOSTER HOME FOR HER. HEART BREAKING 💔💔💔💔💔 A couple of nights ago, we received a heartbreaking call about a dog lying alone in the the cold in Tallaght. It was around midnight, and he was absolutely terrified. We all panicked, desperately trying to find someone who could get to him as quickly as possible. Thankfully, another wonderful rescuer stepped in and made sure this frightened little boy was safe, until we could get him, thank you Keith and friend ❤️ He had a slight injury, possibly from being clipped by a car, although we can’t be certain what happened to him. 💔💔💔 What we do know is that he was scared, vulnerable and desperately needed someone to help him💔💔💔💔 Thankfully, he is now safe at My Lovely Horse Animsl Rescue, and our wonderful vet John has examined him. ❤️ But honestly… how can this keep happening? 💔😡 Animals should not be left lying terrified and cold on the side of the road, crying and begging for help. And once again, the rescue community is left picking up the pieces💔💔💔 Animsls need help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, no point thinking 9 to 5, five days a week is good enough 😡😡😡😡 Please, if you can, donate towards this little boy’s care.
