Another 6 hours in the sunshine @WetherbyCC. Several steps closer to being ready for the 1st @HuntersYLN home game. And who doesn't love a grass-stripe? Stay tuned for yet more nonsense tomorrow. #cricket #Yorkshire #Wetherby

10 days to the 1st home game of the @HuntersYLN season. Outfield cut & rolled again. Track for 1st game scarified, cut & rolled. We're getting there. More excruciatingly dull updates will follow. I know you just can't get enough. #cricket #Yorkshire #Wetherby #YPLN
There’s just something about a newly cut cricket pitch! @HuntersYLN #volunteers #groundsman #2weekstogo

So much pre-season work going on @WetherbyCC we need 3 wheelbarrows! If the weather plays ball then we're hopefully on course for the 1st home game of the @HuntersYLN season. Look out for further riveting updates...if the excitement isn't too much for you. #cricket #Yorkshire – at Harrogate, England

As promised (or should that be threatened). Another thrilling instalment from @WetherbyCC. Full cut of the square & new club crests affixed to the new gates. Lots of painting too...not a great idea in a gusty wind. My clothes look like a seagull shat on me several times.
The work continues on preparation for the new season. More new fencing up along with rabbit protection! #whoneedsshotguns #keepingtherabbitsatbay #cricket @Voltacompliance @LandSLettings @marslandstimber @HuntersYLN @cricketyorks

Poor weather won't prevent me from boring you with another update from @WetherbyCC. Not much work on the pitch but improving the surrounds is ongoing. We've built a fence & put in some gates that even the rugby players will be able to close. #Cricket #Yorkshire #Wetherby

Another thrilling instalment... good weather, willing volunteers & some hard work and @WetherbyCC is starting to look like a cricket ground again. More updates will follow. Whether you like it or not.

Bored of pictures of grass yet? More work on the square @WetherbyCC. Starting to resemble a cricket square. More utterly dull updates to follow. #cricket #Wetherby #Yorkshire #rabbitsarebastards.
Ground work on the boundaries continue with the installation of new fencing and gates to enclose the whole ground along with repair work and installing of chicken wire on all the above! #cricket #groundwork #boundaries #tryingtostopthebloodyrabbits @cricketyorks @cricket

And so it begins. 1st work of the year @WetherbyCC. Square re-measured & defined and fertiliser added. Looking to build on last year's efforts. #cricket #Wetherby #Yorkshire
Today we say good bye to the legend, Ray Dabell. Ray was Wetherby CC through and through, a true stalwart of the club and will be sadly missed. Rest In Peace Ray
It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of our ex player, ex chairman, ex umpire and current President and Wetherby Cricket Club legend, Ray Dabell.
Everyone at Wetherby CC have Ray’s family in mind at this difficult time.
