Agriculture loses because we don’t think like Big Corporations.
1. Build parallel Supply Chains
• farmer-owned fertilizer terminals
•independent wholesale buying groups
•regional co-ops that negotiate direct import contracts
•private label seed + chemical programs
•custom blending operations that bypass the majors
•Rancher owned Packing Plants
2. Organize Buying Power like a Corporations
• you negotiate price
•you control volume
•you control delivery terms
•you control storage
3. Win in Court if Washington Won’t act as one unified group.
•class-action suits
•state attorney general pressure
•discovery
Even if the lawsuit doesn’t “win,” discovery can expose price fixing, coordination, rebates, exclusive contracts, etc. That alone can shift the entire industry.
4. Own the Storage and Logistics this is the Trap that gets us all.
•terminals
•rail access
•barge access
•blending plants
•retail dealer exclusivity
If farmers control logistics, the majors lose their chokehold.
5. Make input transparency public (weaponize pricing data)
Seed and fertilizer pricing survives because it’s hidden.
-If farmers build systems that expose:
•price per ton
•freight spreads
•wholesale vs retail margins
•rebates and bundling discounts
it becomes politically impossible to ignore, and economically harder to defend.
6. Stop playing the “yield contest” game
Big Ag wins when farmers are forced into:
•high input dependency
•high risk financing
•“more yield fixes everything” thinking
Farmers win by shifting to:
•efficiency per dollar
•split timing
•soil-driven fertility
•biological + stabilizer strategies
•cutting high-cost low-ROI inputs
profit-first agronomy.
7. Build political pressure locally instead of federally
-Federal government is slow, captured, and bought.
But locally
•state reps
•state attorneys general
•state departments of ag
•county-level Farm Bureau elections
•co-op boards
If the government won’t step in, farmers and Ranchers win by doing two things:
(1) Create competition
(2) Expose the corruption
What’s everyone’s thoughts on never canola these days? Haven’t grown it for 20yrs, new varieties better?

The right place at the right time is quite often the exact same place you’ve always been with a little bit more effort.
Anyone have experience or know what the cost is to change row spacing on a case magnum rowtrac? #caseih
Every year I’m reminded of how poorly designed these @JohnDeere ccs tank lids are. Having to shovel to get them full. 🤦🏻

This incredible footage is brought to us by Tyler Stines on IG. What a quick reminder of just how fuckin gnarly dirt bikes & Supercross are. They never let a rider forget who's boss. Hopefully Kenny is OK. That knee torque in slo-mo has me concerned about that ACL. #dirtbikelife
