Big congratulations our own
CONGRATULATIONS TO ME! 🎓🎓
From a little boy who escaped home to follow my elder brother to school, to a Master of Information Technology graduate, what a beautiful, challenging and inspiring journey it has been!
My story began at Bwoma 1 Primary School, and because of my father's nature of job (Police Officer), each of my father’s transfer meant changing location and change of primary school, I found myself moving from one school to another.
My primary school journey took me through Bwoma 1 Primary School, Kitagata Central School, Kitagata Preparatory School, Kagongi Primary School, Kabwohe Mother Care, Ishaka Kindergarten, Ijumo Preparatory School, Bikungu Boyz Model Primary School, Mboneko Primary School, Bishop Tom primary school from nursery to P.4 and Buyanja Modern Kindergarten Ps where I studied from Primary Five to Primary Seven.
In a twist of fate, my school had no examination centre number, so I sat my Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) at St Joseph’s Katojo Primary School in 2011.
Little did I know that this was only the beginning of a much bigger story.
In 2012, I joined Sacred Heart Mushanga for Senior One, but my journey took an unexpected turn when I was expelled over a strike I was never part of . I later joined Shuuku Vocational School, where I studied for two terms before moving on because students were treated poorly, fed poorly. Despite my father’s efforts to make me stay there claiming it's a good school, I eventually joined Bugongi Secondary School, where I completed Senior Four in 2015.
I proceeded to St. Gerald’s Secondary School for Senior Five, but another expulsion over a strike whose origins and motives I knew nothing about forced me to change direction once again. I completed Senior Six at Bugamba Secondary School in 2017.
Looking back, the road was never straight, but every setback became another chapter in my story.
In 2018, I joined Kabale University, where I pursued a Diploma in Information Technology, graduating in 2020. Without looking back, I continued with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and graduated in 2023. Still hungry for knowledge and determined to go further, I pursued a Master’s degree in Information Technology, which I have now successfully completed. From a little boy finding his way into a classroom to a Master’s degree graduate, the journey has taught me that circumstances may delay you, setbacks may discourage you, and detours may test you, but they do not have to define your destination.
Above all, I dedicate this milestone to my father and dad, who have stood behind me since day one. Their support has been part of every chapter, and words alone cannot express my gratitude. May the Good Lord bless them abundantly for me.
Today, I am not just celebrating a degree, I am celebrating every struggle, every sacrifice, every school change, every disappointment, every second chance, and every person who believed in me. My beginning was humble, my journey was unpredictable, but today, by God’s grace, I stand tall.
