Anthropic just dropped labor market data on AI displacement. 🟦 = What AI is already capable of. 🟥 = The capacity at which people are using it. The "Great Recession for white collar workers" scenario they modeled? Unemployment doubling from 3% to 6% in the most exposed jobs. Not happening yet. But the early signal is there. Hiring of 22 to 25 year olds into AI-exposed roles is already down 14%. Computer Programmers. Customer Service. Financial Analysts. 67 to 75% of their tasks are already covered. AI is only at 33% of its theoretical capability. We are in the early innings.

Usually open 24/7, Baird and Co, the UK's largest #precious metals refiner and retail dealer, has again closed its online shop. The last time it did this, over Xmas and New Year, the #silver price subsequently rose rapidly from ~$70 per oz to ~$118 per oz. Just saying.

I personally expect silver to shot up to $125 - 130 price level, following which a sharp 15% sell-off would be the most expedient thing to shake out some weak hands. Sell-off could trigger a panic among investors causing rush to exit. Once the cleansing is done, I expect silver to produce the MOTHER OF ALL RALLIES all the way to $250 - 300 in a short period of time... This post is not an investment advice!
